Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit Boinc Manager 7.2.42 (x64) I installed the Boinc manager from the Ubuntu repository, but let it download the project software as it saw fit. Looking in /var/lib/boinc-client/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu, I see setiathome_7.01_i686-pc-linux-gnu and setiathome_7.01_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu as well as astropulse_6.01_i686-pc-linux-gnu and astropulse_6.03_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu I know that both setiathome executables have been used; don't know about astropulse. Why are they both there, and what determines which one is used for a task? |
