There have been a lot of discussion about adult evil behavior now.
Maybe its time to get back to 'evil' children and if they are born that way.
I Think you can see warning signals when a child starts to kill animals or hurt them for no reasons.

Message 1564137 - Posted: 29 Aug 2014, 0:22:07 UTC - in response to Message 1563066.

It looks like the woman had serious mental health problems rather than being "evil". She should have been sent to a psychiatric facility rather than prison as she wasn't responsible for her actions.

Just as the guy who chopped-off that Reporter's head?

He's sane? No.

Is he responsible for his actions? Yes.

That reporter had as much right to life, as the children.

Using Religion/Ideology, Voices, etc., to excuse murderous and evil behavior: Is a dangerous road.

You're drawing a correlation between two different issues and attempting to infer a simple and similar conclusion. A religious jihadist isn't mentally insane in the same way that someone suffering from schizophrenia is insane.

Why aren't persons using Religion/Ideology suffering from schizophrenia?

Because most of them are not claiming to literally hear the voice of their God, which would be a clear sign of schizophrenia. Most of them are claiming to be carrying out the work/word of God according to their interpretation of the scripture. That's a very minute but important distinction which makes all the difference in how we should handle each case.

Ozz, apparently Clyde was a cop, or in his SEMI-retirement he is now a cop.
He probably was among those in the early 80s that voted for reducing funding to psychiatric centers.
It probably gave him more to do as a police officer, as people are more intent on criminalizing the mentally ill, as used to occur.
Wayne LaPierre squandered his chance to get a conversation about mental health going. Then again, he was probably going to try to get them put in jail.
Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes.

Here is Lady al-Qaeda - the woman all jihadists want.
Mother of three Aafia Siddiqui, 42, was the only woman on America's list of the world's most wanted terrorists before she was arrested by security forces in Afghanistan in 2008.
Siddiqui studied cognitive neuroscience at Brandeis University located in Waltham, Massachusetts.

A complete waste of intelligence, and talent. If she wanted to further the
cause(s) of Islam, she had an open field ahead of her. Instead, she chose
the route of destruction.

Will people ever learn to compromise with those of different views? (A note, also, for our own politicians;
at least, they haven't taken out side-arms.)

What's amazing is that she studied cognitive neuroscience.
The very science that deals with evilness among other things.
I told you about another neuroscientist who when sreened had all the symtom of a massmurderer. But he was not.
His wife and son had noticed mood swings though.

Evil - yes. I haven't seen anything that indicates she is a socialist.

And wouldn't it be great if we found a way to make 'evil' people into 'good' people? If evil becomes a disease that we can fix?

Doesn't always end well.

Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge.

Good people are always tormented after a confrontation with evil. A feeling of vertigo overwhelms them.

Not at the moment directly related to this thread, but an interesting article on monkey brains. BBC - Monkey leaders and followers have 'specialised brains'

Why does it seem to be that good people often die earlier than evil people?

Because some people are good at being bad.

I always forget Murphy's Law .
It applies in the same way as the four main principles of thermo-dynamics.
I have an addendum to Murphy's Law
"Skit happens at the worst possible moment."
