And the kitties say YAAYYYYYY! We now have 7 active splitters, so even minus the one tied up on the locked up dataset, we should have 6 now active. Hope everything else holds up and RTS can rebuild. Thank you, Eric!!! And also to whoever actually did the work on the servers on a Sunday. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Mark thanks for your help. Aparently they allready start the 6 splitter and the production rises a little more to 28/sec. The stuck tape still on place probabily they will only fix that tomorrow. Fingers remain crossed. |

The stuck tape (18fe09ag) has staggered on to four blocks "done", maybe we will see some progress if we have cleared the sticky section.... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Now we need to follow the tape (18fe09ag)to see if he stuck again. Aparently the actual production of 28WU/sec is enought to keep the RTS buffer rissing. |

Now we need to follow the tape (18fe09ag)to see if he stuck again. An average of just 25/sec would be good up to 90k/hr. With all the splitters going I expect we will be hitting the limits of the disk array. I'm not sure they can handle much more than 100k/hr, but let's see what happens! We are only running about 85k/hr now. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Now we need to follow the tape (18fe09ag) to see if he stuck again. Has anybody received any actual WUs from 18fe09ag? I've got none cached at the moment (and I'm not going to look at my database of completed tasks until the morning). |

Now we need to follow the tape (18fe09ag) to see if he stuck again. None in my caches. Thanks to whoever got the extra splitter running & gave the problem child yet another kick. Grant Darwin NT |

Now we need to follow the tape (18fe09ag) to see if he stuck again. I've got 1 on my main rig which would've come from the last kick it got which took that file from 3 to 4 channels done. Cheers. |

Looks like it's still stuck at 4. At least we have 2 additional splitters enabled picking up the slack. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Looks like it's still stuck at 4. Maybe, but maybe not. It seems that having more splitters running slows down the individual splitters. 06mr08ah has been sitting on 13 for most of the day, as has 09oc08ab been sitting on 4, yet the splitter output has been around 30/s, no lower than 25/s that I've noticed. So even though per splitter output maybe less, like crunching multiple WUs having the extra splitters running the overall o/p is higher. Presently it's 14, 9, 4, 5, 3, 3, and the one that just won't die at 4 (oh, and 7 & 2 down the bottom there). We'll see how it is later tonight & tomorrow morning. Grant Darwin NT |

Looks like it's still stuck at 4. Well, I have seen movement on the other datasets being split, and the hanger was mentioned by rob smith as being on 4 some 10-1/2 hours ago. So, that's what I based my statement on. If it has not moved on in that period of time, I don't suspect it's going to unless restarted manually. But, having 1 out of 7 splitters hung up is far superior to having 1 out of 5 not producing anything. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

But, having 1 out of 7 splitters hung up is far superior to having 1 out of 5 not producing anything. Hell yeah. Especially since lately it's often been 2 that have gotten stuck. Grant Darwin NT |

But, having 1 out of 7 splitters hung up is far superior to having 1 out of 5 not producing anything. You got that right, buddy! Another round of thanks from the kitty crew going out to whoever got those additional splitters enabled on a Sunday. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I am back after a while due to wife leaving and see we still have problems here with the servers so nothing has changed much Servers are quite healthy at the moment, my friend. Are you having some particular problems that perhaps somebody could assist you with? I have 9 rigs online, all have full caches, the Cricket graphs are rockin'. What is the basis for your statement, please? "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
