Yep, it would appear that if nothing changes, MB RTS will leave a smoking crater in the ground sometime Monday evening or Tuesday morning...

Might be before that, at the current rate of decline.

I sent email this morning to all 3 interested parties, but have not received any response yet.
I believe Eric is busy and unreachable currently, and I don't know if my emails would get through to Matt or Jeff, as I have not emailed them in the past so I don't know if they have filtering in place that would prevent me from reaching them.

So....I have done all I can do at the moment.

I was thinking along similar lines.
As less AP work is in progress, the amount of MB work increases.
MB results returned per hour had been sitting around 60,000 & that kept the Ready-to-send buffer pretty much steady. Once it hit 65,000 then the buffer started shrinking, now's up around 76,000 & it's really starting to fall.

But alas, I've not been granted remote access to the servers. Now wouldn't that be something?

Didn't Matt or Eric tell us once that to have an extra employee full time would be around 100-150k/yr? Then we could pester them constantly!

My original guestimation was for around 19:00 UTC Monday for the RTS to go dry. However the return rate keeps going up at a small but steady rate. Plus there have been a few sudden drops. So if we go dry Sunday night I would not be surprised.

Crunch em if you got em!

Nobody ask for that. The problem was identified the last tuesday and they have plenity of normal working hours 9-5 to fix that but nothing was done.

The splitters were bumped several times over the week, but 18fe09ag is a particularly difficult problem child.

Was it? I thought no one touched 18fe09ag at all & the only reason it is at 3 is due to weekly maintenance.

Pretty sure it was bumped 2, maybe 3, times prior to the weekly maintenance.

For whatever reason the fall has stopped, for now. Ready-to-send has been sitting on 110,000 for a few hours now. I'm sure it'll start falling again in the not too distant future.

You are right, they kicj the tape several times but only before the manteinance, after no, i report that serveral time and nobody makes nothing. No forgive-me i get an answer, it was: Pacience Juan. That was few days ago and the dam tape still stuck until now at least (just check). So the RTS buffer allready downs from 300k to 104K and the creation rate is in the range of 21/sec not enought.

Last server´s page: As of 17 Aug 2014, 14:20:04 UTC

Results ready to send 17,676
Current result creation rate 21.4714/sec

18fe09ag 38.27 GB (3)

Is now the right time to loose the pacience and start to be in panic?

Still a few 04se08ae shorties falling out of the queue.

But 06mr08ah and 09oc08ab seem to be chewier, which will even out the balance.

But with any luck, the queue will drop to zero and people will be forced to start validating my pendings from their caches ;)

I believe you are thinking of 23ja09aa. Which was kicked repeatedly until it finally finished. 18fe09ag Became stuck and then claimed a 2nd splitter. However those were released during maintenance & it has been stuck on 3 since then.

In any event we are down to about 10,000 RTS now. Good luck!

Yup....
RTS for MB is now at zero.
It's going to be the luck of the draw on work requests until somebody kicks the splitters to jar loose the stuck one.
I have tried to contact everybody I am able to.
Not sure if I got through. Might be this way until tomorrow morning when hopefully somebody is back in the lab.

Hopefully some good news...
Just got a response from Eric!!!

He is not able to do anything himself, but is going to try rally the troops to work on the splitters and possibly enable a 6th MB splitter.

I hope he has better luck than myself making contact.
So WE have better luck making contact.

Meowing for luck!!!
