I don't recall him in Happy Days

Mork on Happy Days

That was the second time Mork visited the 50's. The MeTV episode last night was the first time he visited the 50's.

Mork visits the 50's for the first time.

Awesome! Thanks, TL. I remember that one, too. Big smile :~))

It was the first thing I heard on the radio this morning. Alcohol and depression, not a good combination:(( I simply loved him in Mrs. Doubtfire... You'll be missed Mr. Williams. RIP

Me too.

We shall see what the final reports say about his state at the time he left us, but his wife says that among other burdens, Robin was in the early stages of Parkinson's disease. And she says he was still sober. We shall see.

I am still saddened by his departure.

Thank you for all of the links reminding us of his good times.

No matter the manner or reasons for which he felt he had to leave us, I shall love him always.

Meow.

One Hour Photo is actually one of my favorite Robin Williams movies because I used to be a photo tech, too. There are some inside jokes that made me laugh, and one scene in particular that cracked me up! I don't want to give it away. Just rent the movie! :~)

I think that 'Good Morning Vietnam' would rank as my favorite.
It gave Robin a vehicle not to only showcase his wonderful humor, but his serious side as well, showing his empathy and love within the terrible tragedy that was the Nam conflict.

And I would also like to thank all of you for reminding me of some gems in Robin's body of work that I had forgotten.

I am sure my internet bill is gonna be rather high next month as I burn up bandwidth and youtube revisiting many of them.

And not to get too far off topic, but.........

I think as time goes by, I shall always remember Robin with the same fondness I have always had for Mel Blanc. I still miss him terribly at times as well.

Nobody shall ever know why Robin felt he had to leave. There are some clues, but not the reality of what went through his mind that day. I still have the same questions regarding the departure of my dear brother so many years ago. Questions that shall never be answered in THIS lifetime. Perhaps in the next.

So, we shall have to focus not on what he took with him, but what wonderful things he left behind for us.

And that legacy is one that I wish I were so gifted as to be able to do likewise.

my favorite is Bicentennial Man.
Funny but also serious and it makes me cry when i watch it

loved it when he asked the man helping him "where's the rench " "over there " and off goes Robbie to take apart the girl robot and when he took the emotion chip out of here too

I guess i really like the idea of a Robot tying to turn into a Human and by doing it he saves many people with his inventions

Best movie ever

I guess I'm going to have to try Bicentennial Man. I remember when it came out, and then never went because of some lukewarm reviews.

Still very emotional over his loss. Suz and I watched Billy Crystal's tribute and we both bawled.

Thanks for the clip Gordon :)

He was a brilliant comedian and actor.
He will live on thru his movies.

The night he died, I put one of his HBO live shows on dvd and laughed silly. He will be missed! R.I.P. Robin!

Robin had severe, diffuse Lewy body dementia, and had Parksinson's for three years:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2838262/Parkinson-s-dementia-strike-Reports-suggest-Robin-Williams-suffered-cruel-double-blow.html

Many medications used to treat Parksinson's can severely aggrevate hallucinations. Honestly, how the man managed to do a TV show with this going on is astounding.

Just look at the accompanying photo, and the joy in people's faces at seeing him.

I think I can better understand his actions, now, though it still breaks my heart.
