it's 9pm, we have clear skies and a very big moon, I'll try to get a picture.

Edit - OK got one. Nikon P500 camera on a tripod, night setting, max 36X zoom, edited slightly with Adobe PhotoDeluxe to enhance detail. Real shame that my 4 1/2" reflector scope at 220X is at another location.

ooooh moooooooooooon

:) Great pic Chris!

It's our turn tonight.

There are also a couple of other things going on in the heavens this week. ;-)

Wow........ thanks Wiggo :)

I DO hope I get to see the night sky from the Southern Hemisphere again... *sigh* total racket going on all night what with bullfrogs and crickets and whatnot but it seemed to have more... I dunno... space in it...

You're welcome Annie.

Oh yes, there's definitely more space around here, there also seems to be a lot more stars seen down here. ;-)

Cheers.

A long time ago, before my neighbors let the ivy and trees grow wild, I was able to see the teapot. How fitting, that it is associated with the WOW event.
Just to much light polution here in Stockton now.
Resigned to just look at pics from other Setizens.

I have the camera, the lens and the tripod but in the valley of the sun I am into my second night of clouds. With rain coming in the next two days I might not be able to get a good picture.

Missed the supermoon last night..but managed to get a glimpse tonight, while I was waiting the ISS passed over...

The wind was blowing like crazy, hence the shakey video, even with a tripod.
