As usual, all rights and assigns go to those who would restrict the free sharing of creative joy in the name of profit and ignorance, however misguided. Long live 'da tube. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I rarely watch the things that get posted on youtube. I don't even have an account. Sometimes when my brother comes by to visit he brings up youtube and shows me what he thinks is funny. And I laugh but then when I browse through the content it saddens me what people will do to get a little attention. There is a lot of idiocy posted by kids and vermin there, but like most other public forums, there are also some true gems not easily found elsewhere. Mind the poster, not the forum. I get whacked here when I am found to be the one at fault, not the source material. For example, here is a slightly different edit of the Christina rave up I just posted. One that does not edit the phrases 'make my panties drop' and 'make my cherry pop'... Both of which, I might tell you, were in the ORIGINAL by the Andrews Sisters. And that was back in MY day. Or slightly before it. CA's version. Andrews' Sisters... You see, although the terms might seem a bit racy, they were pun intended even back in the day. So, mods, at times please don't be too quick to judge. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

And I have to confess a faux pas here now... I cannot find at the moment an original recording of Candyman by the Andrews Sisters. The one I alluded to in my last post was spoofed. It was NOT the original version. Still looking... sigh. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

And I have to confess a faux pas here now... Indeed, the whole thing is a spoof, the Andrews Sisters apparently didn't sing "Candyman" The song was written by Aguilera and Linda Perry and produced by Perry. The Andrews Sisters version was apparently "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" with Christine Aguilera's song. So the "racey lines" are all down to Christine Aguilera!! |

And I have to confess a faux pas here now... LOL... the kittyman has indeed been fluffed. I just dug down about 20 pages in youtube. Every link to a version of Candyman by the Andrews Sisters goes back to the same one I posted. No mention of it in their wiki discography either. I've been HAD, folks. Have to settle for this, then. Boogie Woogie (candyman) Bugle Boy. Bad gurl, Christina..... Bad kitty. LOL. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I am almost old enough to remember hearing and seeing the Andrews Sisters live. They probably performed on the Ed Sullivan show in the mid 1960's or earlier. I had a copy of their greatest hits as a kid, and wore the livin' grooves out of it. Hence started my fascination of vocal harmonies. PPM followed not long after, in a very different vein. Here is a docu about the Andrews Sisters you may enjoy. Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Gentlemen, whatever you do, you've got to look after your conkers. Been a while since I posted this one as well. It used to be my angry anthem when things went poorly for me on these forums. Certain parts are still true, I still suffer a lot for what I believe in and express those thoughts with little remorse. I do however, think that I have backed down a bit and tried to make peace with my own demons and some of yours as well. They say time heals everything......it is doing so. Thanks for your perseverance and understanding. I shall be a 'work in progress' until the day I die, I guess...LOL. I suppose I am realizing every day I get older that I can't fight the own world on my terms as I once thought I might be able to. And more importantly, I am realizing that there really is no need for me to do so. Meowmorecontented. I guess I'm trying to make nice.... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." LOL... Jett might be jealous. I am a bit enamoured of Kirstie at the moment. Stuck, like glue. I know, I have an attraction to gurlz much younger than I am. I have enough love in my heart to make up the difference. No matter, Lori and I are a month apart. Love. The rest is just attraction, that's all, not love. Hope you all understand that when I dish about a pretty gurl here and there. I AM taken. And you all know by whom. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
