I don't think Ebola is needed for that, History is a better example to use. |

It does not. The question remains: Shouldn't we be worried about it spreading & what is being done to contain it. Who released it or used it to their advantage is not the issue here. How do you propose to "DO SOMETHING" if you can't educate people how to avoid it? |

Lead by example! 1st, ENSURE that all medical facilities have stringent protocols in place & Ensure that they are not breached AT ANY TIME. 2nd, ensure that ALL visitors to a medical facility do the same. It's psychological, if a visitor sees a professional taking extreme care, it will make them stop & think. 3rd, get the media on your side. Make them take those precautions, have them suit up, make them sweat! Have them wear it while they interview, make the interview last long enough. 4th, any one that spouts off without clear knowledge, take them to task & have them suit up & see the deadly affects. 5th, TAKE the politics out of the issue! Get it done rather than continuously spiel on their agendas. Anything else to add? |

All nice methods of education by example. They now reject western medicine as being an attempt to kill them. Again, what can you do when you can't educate? The CIA breached an ethical and moral barrier that never should have been crossed. What great Nobel winning President signed off on those orders? Now we suffer the consequences. Oh as to your number 1, how do you ensure against stupidity breaching a protocol? The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits. As to number 5, then we will let the MD's tell us that there is no need to restrict travel and have the politicians sit down and shut up. |

Again, what can you do when you can't educate?Let them die & ensure your own borders are protected. After all, if the horse is dead, why continue to beat it? Oh as to your number 1, how do you ensure against stupidity breaching a protocol? The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.Armed guards at each restrictive level answers that one. As to number 5, then we will let the MD's tell us that there is no need to restrict travel and have the politicians sit down and shut up.If the politicians did shut up & let the MD's work without any interference, that may be quite true. |

Oh as to your number 1, how do you ensure against stupidity breaching a protocol? The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.Armed guards at each restrictive level answers that one. What does an armed guard do to prevent stupidity? A protocol broken. Some one not taking their protective equipment off in a manner that continues their own protection? Protocol's are far more than preventing visitors! How does the armed guard prevent the error downstairs when the burn bag gets put in with the regular garbage? Do you even have a clue? Or are you venting just because you feel someone has to make noise? Just to be clear I'm calling your number 5 on you! |

What do you not understand about restrictive levels? With an incurable disease, there are no unrestrictive levels. Ah, that'll cost too much $$$$, we can't afford it. You seem to be able to afford it for those overseas wars of yours! |

Rather than postulate on the issue of how contagious it is, shouldn't we all be worried about the spreading of Ebola & what is being done to contain it? That'll be like asking Dull to change to a "normal" name :-) |

From I have read they employed tyvec gowns, gloves and face sheilds. Which is stupid. Face shields? Im betting she had an itch and unconsciously wiped her eyes, nose or what ever. You need level 4 hazmet gear not level 2. And Gary Im sorry, but if you can touch a person while they are showing symptoms of Ebola and you get it then it contagious. The flu virus can live up to two hours on a hard surface such as a doorknob or railing, faucet. I would suspect Ebola can also. So its contagious. [/quote] Old James |

The protocols being breached aren't the one where a bunch of bullet holes will stop it, so why are you bitching for a man to make bullet holes? Care to answer? Aren't those bullet holes going to lead to more exposures? Next time think before you type. You seem to be able to afford it for those overseas wars of yours! War? USA hasn't been in a war since WWII. Bloody nose diplomacy yes, war no. My wars? I didn't vote for the bastard. Afford it?! you owe me a keyboard. |

La.: Don't bring waste from Ebola victim's personal items BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana State Attorney General Buddy Caldwell is seeking a temporary restraining order to block the disposal of incinerated waste from the Dallas Ebola victim's personal items and belongings at a Louisiana landfill. It has been reported that six truckloads of potential Ebola contaminated material collected from the apartment where Thomas Eric Duncan became ill were brought to Port Arthur, Texas, on Friday to be processed at the Veolia Environmental Services incinerator. From there the incinerated material is slated to be transported to a hazardous waste landfill in Louisiana for final disposal. Interesting. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/10/12/ebola-personal-waste-disposal/17174213/ |

You need level 4 hazmet gear not level 2. I think he meant Biohazard/Biosafety level, not hazmat level... Ebolavirus is a biohazard level 4 agent... requiring biosafety level 4 protection. |

Nope, with all that $$$$$ wasted on "bloody nose diplomacy", you can afford to buy me a new one! The problem with Ebola is that there is a "bad mix" in the melting pot. BHL's & Moneymen. No one has the courage to isolate an area/country & that is a chicken that will come home to roost eventually. What then? |

I think that I heard on the TV news that 34 planes from West Africa arrived at JFK Airport over the weekend. Hard to believe if true . |

UK screening to Start tomorrow hmmm... "Border Force officers will identify passengers to be screened and Public Health England will carry out the testing." Nice... "However, there is no direct flight from Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea so people could arrive at airports that do not screen passengers." So Hunt, are you that dumb? |

Found some more disturbing news though: I find this article disturbing because of the way people react in general to the virus. We're quite incognizant about the whole matter imo. rOZZ Music Pictures |
