Heard this on CNN.

Nancy Writebol, went to an undisclosed location. She needs rest, and her husband was quarantined.

Dr. Kent Brantly, and Nancy Writebol, both are free from the strain of EBOLA they caught. If another strain comes along they could get Ebola again.
That's why we get flu shots every year. New strain of something.

Both can't have sex. Virus transmitted that way. I'm sure both won't.

The pair received an experimental therapy called ZMapp, a cocktail of antibodies made by tiny California biotech Mapp Biopharmaceutical. Health experts cautioned against declaring the drug a medical breakthrough based on two patients.

I saw that on the BBC news that they are only immune to the strain they had. Not the other 4 strains.

Ebola Outbreak Enters Sixth Month With No End in Sight

Though two American aid workers have recovered from Ebola, the outbreak continues to spread in West Africa with no end in sight.

At last count, the virus had killed at least 1,350 people and sickened 1,123 more – numbers thought to “vastly underestimate” the outbreak’s true toll, according to the World Health Organization.

The more this spreads, the more likely it is that it could mutate into something worse.

Or..it could just suddenly die out. Its hard to predict what a virus will do.

Ebola continues to spread in West Africa as Sierra Leone voted to pass a new amendment imposing jail time for anyone caught hiding an Ebola patient.

With 142 new cases recorded, the total number is now 2,615 with 1,427 deaths, the World Health Organization said Friday. The group added that the magnitude of the Ebola outbreak has been "underestimated."

And the WHO still hasnt imposed a travel restriction out of said inefected countries. Must be they could care less if it does spread.
Any word on that suspected case in California?

First WHO-affiliated worker stricken with Ebola

(CNN) -- For the first time, a health care worker for a World Health Organization partner organization has fallen ill from Ebola, WHO told CNN on Sunday.

The health worker, a man from Senegal, is in Sierra Leone and receiving care, the WHO said. He's an epidemiologist working for the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network, which was established by WHO and other partners to respond to international public health emergencies. No further details were given immediately.

Update:

WHO shuts Sierra Leone lab after worker infected with Ebola

(Reuters) - The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday it had shut a laboratory in Sierra Leone after a health worker there was infected with Ebola, a move that may hamper efforts to boost the global response to the worst ever outbreak of the disease.

At least 1,427 people have died and 2,615 have been infected since the disease was detected deep in the forests of southeastern Guinea in March.

Congo:

Congo's Health Minister Felix Kabange Numbi said on Sunday the outbreak in Equateur was a different strain of the virus from the deadly Zaire version in West Africa, although further tests are planned in a German laboratory.

There are 5 strains currently. If this is a new one that would be six.
