WHO: Evidence shows Ebola crisis 'vastly underestimated'

CNN) -- The magnitude of the Ebola crisis in West Africa is "vastly" underestimated, the World Health Organization said this week, as the death toll rose to more than 1,000.

Ebola has infected at least 1,975 people in Nigeria, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since the outbreak began this year.

Of those, at least 1,069 have died, according to the WHO. It said the number reflects the count as of Monday.

To carry on from your link...

Money Talks, Death Arrives

"The Standard notes that while it makes business sense for Kenya Airways to take advantage of West African destinations, the "economic escapade could be costly. The safety of Kenyans supersedes any profits and must come first."

However, George Bodo in Kenya's Business Daily recalls the carrier's ailing share prices. "In calling on Kenya Airways to suspend nearly half of its high-margin flights, someone should, ideally, be ready with some form of compensation. Otherwise, its stock price will continue being more vulnerable in the coming weeks.""

It is not known where the container, one of 64 aboard the P&O vessel, originated.

Now that is the scary part. How the hell was that vessel allowed into port if they didn't know where the container originated? A conventional explosive the size of a container is a massive bomb! Once unloaded put on a lorry and have it delivered right to the target! GPS detonator. "You have arrived at your KA-BOOM"

New restrictions in Kenya for travelers amid Ebola fears

Nairobi (CNN) -- Kenya Airways will suspend flight operations to Liberia and Sierra Leone, the latest airline to curb flights because of the ongoing Ebola outbreak in West Africa. The suspension is temporary, and the airline will continue operating flights to Nigeria and Ghana, Kenya Airways said.

The Kenyan government announced other restrictions, saying it is temporarily suspending entry into Kenya of passengers who have passed through Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.

Emory Ebola patients facing long recovery, but they're now 'immune'

ATLANTA -- The news keeps getting better about Dr. Kent Brantly, one of the Ebola patients being treated at Emory University Hospital.

He and Nancy Writebol contracted Ebola while doing missionary work in Liberia.

There were no updates Friday about Ms. Writebol.

Ebola Outbreak Worsens With Missing Patients, US Scare

The Ebola outbreak continues to spiral out of control amid reports of looting at a Liberian health center and the isolation of a traveler from Sierra Leone here in the U.S.

The virus has killed at least 1,145 and sickened 982 more, according to numbers released Friday by the World Health Organization. An updated outbreak toll is expected soon.

The WHO should have shut down all flights in and out of all infected countrys. You want out you need to go to a quarintine staging area for the proscribed time then you can leave. I kew this crap was going to start spreading.

'Miraculous day' as American Ebola patients released

(CNN) -- Dr. Kent Brantly walked around the room at Emory University Hospital on Thursday, hugging staff members and shaking hands.

It was like he wanted everyone to know: I'm no longer infectious. The virus is out of my system. Ebola didn't beat me.

Brantly and Nancy Writebol, another American missionary infected with Ebola in Liberia, have been discharged from the hospital. Writebol was released Tuesday and is choosing not to make public comments, according to the hospital.

Good luck to them both. They provide hope for those who have it & proves that it can be beaten.
