Yes Lynn it is . maybe they need to Qauratine anybody on the plane that was with him as well . I hope for his sack he hasn't got it . He sounds like he is doing the right thing but i do have to wonder about those on the plane with him on the way back . He returned to Morristown, Tenn.?? I agree that everyone should be checked, and hope they were. |

So why bring them to an American city where nothing more can be done that can't be done in Africa? They are getting special treatment and the CDC better not make a tiny mistake. Well, conditions in the US are better. The people that work in medical care are true professionals, they are not understaffed, don't have to work in tiring primitive conditions, have access to good equipment and don't suffer from a culture of needle sharing. Besides, this has been going on for months, and only now we see the first few doctors getting sick. I think it shows that professionals that know what they are doing are relatively safe. |

I agree Clyde and why i think this doctor that came into the states without being under qauratine is so scary . No offence but the states is one the transit points of the world and so many peoples from so many country's cross paths at your airports and the volume of people moving . Don't know about you but i recon it's time to buy a respirator all though it not the primary way of catching it i wonder what will happen if someone gets infected but also has another disease like the flu and somehow it mutates and becomes airborne . I hope he didn't sneeze or cough on the way over or in the airport otherwise it may have already spread . Fingers crossed he is ok |

Just wondering if the Infected Person's are being brought to The US as Guinea Pigs? That appears to be part of it. As I type I'm watching the ambulance transport the patient from the airport to the hospital. They didn't close the road and there are no marked cars with flashing lights. It appears to be very cavalier. It appears the patient walked from the ambulance with some assistance. |

Dr. Kent Brantly did arrive safely and he walked into the hospital with assistance from one of the caregivers arriving with him. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/02/american-doctor-ebola_n_5643628.html I watched it live on MSNBC this afternoon and was surprised, as were the two doctors that was on a conference call to the network, to see him walking, when everyone was expecting to see him enter on a gurney. It appears that he is entering the hospital on his own power, though assisted, and showing a further point of recovery then was expected. I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

Dr. Kent Brantly did arrive safely and he walked into the hospital with assistance from one of the caregivers arriving with him. His family visited him also. I hope he makes it. I also learned he had a blood transfusion prior to arriving in USA. |

Air travel makes the world a smaller place than it used to be. To see how fast a virus can spread, one only has to look to the Spanish Flu pandemic after WWI. Better safe than sorry, but should it hit here, there is no way possible it can be contained as our NHS is in a mess & will not be able to cope. |

Being in a world that is under the threat of terror I find this virus to be the most horrible terror threat in the world. I also find it extremely suspicious how this outbreak became so bad. Africa has been under ATTACK from drug companies for quite some time now and I just do not trust corporations that have a lot to gain from the spread of a virus like this or Governments that have a lot to gain by the possible martial law that should be declared. Just the fact that it is here and killing is the terror weapon Fear makes money. Fear makes people and governments do things they would not normally do. Bringing the two American Doctors back to USA is very troublesome. If this virus is to be contained then why even think about bringing it to the USA. I would think these Doctors could have been treated in Africa. Seems like a risk that is far too unnecessary. Michael Miles Team New Mexico |

Ebola test carried out after Gatwick passenger death A test for Ebola has been carried out on a female passenger who died after arriving in the UK from The Gambia. Poor women died, but no Ebola. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-28634903 |

Ugh lets not get panicky. Once you are sick and capable of spreading the infection, you are generally far to sick to get on a plane. Besides, African airliners are trained to spot people who look very sick. And even if it got to the UK or any other Western nation, it would be relatively easy for us to contain it. Its nothing like the Spanish flu or the plague or any other horrible disease that wiped out millions. |

This person checked into the hospital today. NYC hospital testing patient for Ebola A Manhattan hospital patient with high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms is being tested for the Ebola virus, officials said Monday. The male Mount Sinai patient recently traveled to an Ebola afflicted West African country. The patient has been placed in “strict isolation†and is undergoing tests to figure out the cause of his symptoms. http://nypost.com/2014/08/04/nyc-hospital-testing-patient-for-ebola/ |

Someone in the US., will likely get infected with EBOLA. (bound to happen). What scares me is the upcoming flu season. People who are anxious to begin with will flood the hospitals. The Doctor and aid worker, in Atlanta were given an experimental drug. The people who need this drug, can't get it. Very unfair. imho. Social media, is outraged the Dr. & aid worker were brought to US. CDC, will never tell the truth in the US. Ebola is spreading faster, and may take months to contain. With all the problems in the world, Bio-terrorism, come to mind. |
