Very good question! I do hope it's nothing to do with... if the serum works it'll be a western pharmaceutical company that gets granted the patent... :(
This isn't an HIV cure; I don't see much money to be made for an Ebola cure.

If it's a vaccine then it may have millions of applications for prevention.

The people who need the vaccine not only can't afford it they will not take it even if it is free. They trust their witch doctors not the blue eyed devil.

Yep, so that's Africa gone in a few more years, then spread to the Mid-East & Genghis Khan/Alexander the Great would turn in their graves.

Most likely it's made from the white blood cells or antibodies from human or animal blood. We have been using treatments like that for many years to prevent illness after exposure and reduce the duration of some illness. It does little good before exposure.

Social media erupted yesterday, over Ebola, patients coming to Atlanta.

Donald Trump tweeted his disapproval of Ebola patients being treated in America. ‘KEEP THEM OUT OF HERE,’ he wrote.

If these people weren't in the medical field would they be brought to the US? There is nothing that can be done in the US that can't be done in Africa. The fact they know more about the disease than most and still contracted it is disturbing.

Not really if you consider the fact that these doctors are working 12 hour shifts while the conditions are exhausting. Tired people are more likely to make mistake, and with a disease this infectious, making even a tiny mistake can kill you.

So why bring them to an American city where nothing more can be done that can't be done in Africa? They are getting special treatment and the CDC better not make a tiny mistake.

And perhaps you could do the same with this one?

Is it just one of your sweeping generalisations again?

World Health Organization: WHO

Ebola outbreak: WHO warns disease is ‘out of control’ as fears of global epidemic grow

West Africa’s Ebola outbreak is worse than official figures indicate, and is “moving faster than our efforts to control it”, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has said.

In a stark warning, Dr Margaret Chan, the WHO’s director general, said that if the situation continued to deteriorate the consequences would be “catastrophic” both in terms of loss of life, and economic cost, with a “high risk” that the virus would spread to other countries.

You know with everyday that goes i'm wondering are we now in the end times . Wars which have a potential to spread . weather causing crops to fail and wheat prices starting to rise , now a deadly disease that may break out and spread .

Have we by our actions made the prophets prophecy come true !

I'm not saying they are true but we have engineered things so they will come true.

The devil in a prophecy is not that it comes true but that we make it come true by believeing it in the first place

More likely due to man going where man has not been . Clearing jungles and exposing people to diseases that we have never seen

IE Columbus bringing Europion disease to the natives in south America

I watched a doco on Pompeii not long ago and apparently in 1 of the cellar's they found a group of ppl there and 2 girls had Gonnorhea and it means it may have already been in Europe a long time before Columbus .It's a recent finding don't know how true it is i can only tell you what they said in the doco .

this is scary.

Why Ebola Doctor in Tennessee Is in Quarantine
He was exposed to the virus while working at a west Africa hospital.

A Tennessee doctor who placed himself in quarantine after volunteering in West Africa, where the Ebola virus is rampant, says he's "feeling well" and showing no sign of symptoms.

Alan Jamison, a retired pediatrician, returned home to Morristown, Tenn., after he was evacuated from Liberia by the aid group he was volunteering for -- working at the same hospital as Dr. Kent Brantly, an American now fighting the deadly virus.
