OK... each to their own....
Norwegian woman believes she is a cat
Nano, a 20-year-old woman from Norway, says she was born in the wrong species.

In a video posted by a Norwegian news site, the woman says she is really a cat.

English subtitles of the video reveal that Nano has received psychological counseling since she was 16, when she first realized she was a feline.

"It is exhausting, but you get used to living with cat instincts," said Nano. "You can hear a lot better."

In the video, which has been viewed more than 1 million times on YouTube, the 'cat woman' walks around with cat ears and a cat tail.

Nano is even heard meowing and hissing when encountering a dog. She doesn't like water either.

LOL....I wouldn't go quite that far.
I would not ever consider having anything other than cats for companion animals, but others have their own experiences and preferences.
To each their own.
I do think that kitty people are especially blessed, however.

Well, we let people choose their gender and race. Why not species?

The litter box must be enormous.

I used to be a cat person but then something deep inside me told me to get
a dog. (Actually I think it might have been too much sleeping in front of
the TV when the "Yo quiero Taco Bell" commercials were very popular.

I went out and got a little miniature dachshund who changed my life. Now
I'm a dog person. But don't worry. I have 17 cats. (Last I counted.)

I like both Cats and Dogs and Fish, but since I don't have a yard and My income is rather low, a hybrid-solar powered Cat is what I have. But then She's bigger than some Dogs and I guarantee you, she could go toe to toe with one if needed.

Why am I posting this right now?
Because I need a little support.
And I am going about to dump on you and tell you why.

Years ago, a GF tossed a couple of kittens on my bed.

I made some comment about the crazy biatch trying to screw with my head.......and get them offa me....I am sleeping, go away.....what ARE those????...LOL. The kitties were quite relentless in their purrsuit, however.
Two kitties, who became Tigger and Squirrel, they were.

A few years later, Tigger became ill with CRF...which means her kidneys were wasting away.
9 months or so later, she passed on, regardless of my giving her IV fluids every day for those 9 months......mewosigh. That was quite a thing, dragging her kicking and screaming every day for her IV injection.
Every day, for 9 months, I would warm the IV bag with a heat lamp, monitor the temp to around 100 something f degrees, which is the normal temp of a kitty, and then stick the IV needle in her back to infuse her daily bit of kittyness.

I am not sure you know this about me.......or my love of kitties.

Years later, Squirrel was having problems.................due to her advanced age. I then again, was in the position of nursing a kitty almost 24/7....and then it was her time to leave me as well.

I now face the yeoman task of possibly warding another kitty off to the bridge, although I am doing my dead level best to ward that off.
Not sure I can, in God's hands now. Tigger is in my hands and God's both.
That is all I can ask at this point.

I just wanted you all to know my position, and know that I shall always go above and beyond for my kitties. I never had children.......my cats are my children in this life.

Reality is a very hard master to face, and I know that neither I nor my cats can deny it forever.

But, from cradle to grave, I shall care for my cats, no matter who gets there first.
Might be them, might be myself. Dunno. Hope that it is me.

I only do what I can, and then some more, Suzi.

Tigger is not doing so well, not sure I can cure her. Meds are holding it at bay, but not diminishing it.

All hope I have left is in the Lord's hands at this point. Not looking good for Tigger, but she is stable at this point.

One day at a time/.

That is so wonderful of you to say...........
My cats are my children, as I never had any by the usual means.
Some might thing that is a bit 'not usual'........and I admit, perhaps it is not.

But, they are my children, and sleep with me more that some GFs I have had....LOL.

This California cat lady owns more than 1,000 cats
PARLIER, CA - Lynea Lattanzio has given up her 4,200 square foot home to 800 adult cats and 300 kittens. Now she lives in a 1,600 square foot mobile home on the same 6-acre property, allowing all her cats to run freely through the home she once lived in.

Here's a video from Barcroft TV's YouTube Channel, where Lynea shares her story:
https://youtu.be/MLhesmKn4Cs

A generous donor left an heir to and estate, and those profits allowed her to expand her land to a total of 12 acres. She worked as a vet for many years to help take care of them at the facilities, eventually bringing in more volunteers.

Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no kill sanctuary located in Parlier, which is a town between Fresno and Visalia. She's been housing cats for the past 24 years and claims she's lived with 28,000 cats during that time. The sanctuary also houses a dozen dogs and a handful of peacocks.
