I wish I'd been there to capture the beginning of this nap. There's
actually another box inside the box, holding her up like that.

For those that didn't see it in the other thread where I posted it, Mark's Tigger is ill. She's 14, but he thinks she has plenty of life left, and he's willing to spend hundreds of bucks to give it to her. He has mail-order meds coming (probably came by now). I posted more details last week in the Free Kibble thread.

Tigger II is hanging in there...
Still active, eating her kibbles and drinking OK.
So far, the swollen lymph nodes in her neck are very scary for me, but do not seem to be causing her undue discomfort.
She did have a bit of a coughing fit when she panicked as I corralled her into the carrier for her vet visit, so there are some potential issues if the meds do not get it under control.
She is on Itraconazole, an anti-fungal med, from the vet. I have also obtained some Life Gold cancer support for cats herbal meds, which I am going to wait with until hopefully the prescribed meds have started to take hold.
For now, I am just hanging on to hope day by day, worried sick, and thankful each day when I get home from work and wake up in the morning that my dear Tigger is still with me and not taken a downturn.

Meow for now.

God bless you for taking such good care of Tigger II. I hope she gets
better and that she's with you for several more years.

Thank all of you for the kind wishes.
I just have to hang in there with Tigger and pray the meds are the right ones and can do their work.

I've lost too many of my own Mark, not to understand the pain of it all.

Agreed.

I'll cry over the loss of a "stranger's" pet before I'll cry over the
loss of a person. I'll mourn both, but the loss or illness of a pet
hits me harder. Something about the innocence of an animal, I suppose.

Prayers for Tigger.

I still cling to hope.....
Tigger II is still up and about. In fact, rather energetic and bouncy the last couple of days. And she is tolerating her meds well....tomorrow will be one week on her anti-fungal drug. That's on the + side.

On the other hand, no improvement in the swollen glands, but they can be slow to go down. In fact, I think I detect some additional swelling behind her ears and in her front armpits now.....
Maybe it's just me being more critical, maybe not. So, that's on the - side.

What really makes this the hardest is that all of the tests from the vet could not give me a definitive diagnoses. IE, they could not rule out cancer or lymphoma. So, I am faced with fearing the worst and hoping for the best of evils.

I have been trying to give her lots of special loving, petting, and attention. Because love is a healing drug too, you see.
When I go to bed at night, she loves to crawl up on my chest for hugs and holding.

So, still on kitty watch day by day. At least her good activity level renews my hopes when they start to fail.
Any prayers you can send for dear Tigger's healing shall be appreciated. The Lord knows I have been pestering Him for some special healing blessings for my beloved kitty.....maybe He'll cure her just so I get offa of his shoulders......LOL.

Well.....
Tigger is having a good day today. She's been up and about, stopped by to check on me and the computers, and at one point even clawed her way up to the top shelf of the 6' tall kitty tower to spy on me and her sisters.
Had her meds this morning and proceeded to visit the kibble and water bowls.

So, the kittyman is smiling just a little bit today.
