She also could be upset about something. Just a minor change can trigger that. Yes to have her see a Vet.

I gave her extra attention and special food. She seems to be doing better now. I'm a bit concerned as she is scratching a lot and losing big chunks of hair. There's a piece in her fur that's completely bald now. I'm going to the vet when Lisa and Yoko are back from camp.

Oh, please do get kitty to the vet.
May be nothing, but you can't work on behavioral matters unless medical matters are ruled out first.
My Bandit kitty went through that a long time ago....bladder infection made it hurt when using the litterbox, so she stopped using the litterbox.

Best wishes for Siyah kitty.

Police Officers Rescue Cat on Subway Tracks

The New York Post reports that Rusafova had George on a leash at the Canal Street Station where she was waiting for an uptown train just after 5 p.m. – right smack in rush hour. Even though Rusafova describes George as "a super-chill cat,” the loud noise of the E train scared the kitty and he broke away from Rusafova and leapt onto the rail bed.

"He went into one of those rectangular cutouts in the wall,” Rusafova told New York Post. "He just curled into the corner and was just staring at the wall. He didn’t move.”

Cats need rescue in many different ways it seems.
Mine are strictly indoor kitties, they don't get out on the tracks.

They await for me every day to finish my daily toils and lay down with them
That is my life, and theirs.

Thank you Mark. I'm leaving for Paris this evening and I'm taking her with me to my granddads first. She could have a fun time with Pitou, my granddad's cat. Maybe she will feel better then, not being alone.

Someone has posted a notice for a cat they have found that looks exactly like my missing Sauron. Waiting to hear back from them. She does look like pretty much every black cat, so I can hope can't I?

13 kittens left in hot duffel bag outside PAWS Chicago

When a volunteer at PAWS Chicago saw a duffel bag begin to move, he opened it and found 13 of the luckiest kittens in Chicago.

According to PAWS Chicago’s Facebook page, these 13 kittens were abandoned in a duffel bag outside of the medical center over the weekend. Despite the 85 degree weather, all of the kittens have been reported to be generally healthy.

The kittens have received names like Viper, Sundown and Carole, and photos of them are available on PAWS Chicago’s Facebook page.

PAWS Chicago says they are currently looking for people to offer foster homes to these kittens for two to four weeks at a time.

The kittens are not available for adoption at this time.

Still hoping here......
