Siyah peed all over Lisa's bed with fresh cat litter right beside, does anyone know why she does that? She also pees on the ground.

As it says here peeing outside the box is the #1 urinary problem, a visit to the Vet is in order, since that sounds like a cry for help. Then there is this site here and it has a video. So far Grace uses Her box, I empty the bin and add more corn based litter and that's all.

She also could be upset about something. Just a minor change can trigger that. Yes to have her see a Vet.

When my old cat was doing that, it was because she had a bladder infection. Poor thing was holding it in because it hurt to pee, then peeing herself in the wrong places, like my bed.

@Vic. No news about Sauron. We are hoping that she just found a family she liked better and moved in with them.

My surviving cat Gandalf has been suffering a lot with the heat wave so I took her for a haircut yesterday.

Not to pry, but how much does that cost out there?

I took her to Petsmart and it cost $80. I used that money Harper put in our accounts if we had children, so that we'll vote for him in October.

I figured the cat deserved it more than my kids.

A cat is essentially a child or a kitten, that's how the cat sees itself when a cat is inside a humans home and the human is the adult, when the cat is by itself, then the cat acts like an adult, strange yes, but then so are humans. Cats are semi domesticated, unless they learn to hunt from their momma cat, they don't have a chance at surviving on their own. I have some of the skills of a hunter, but they are 35 years dormant and My body can't do what's required anymore, yes I was very good at it, I'm lucky to be able to get up with the help of a cane or to take care of My needs. So I emphasize with a cat, a lot.

Thank you, I dare not mention that perhaps
our Dear Leader also may need a clipping....

I asked as we were thinking that our Fryja cat could
be in line for this, due to the heat we are having.

edit:
Cats are semi domesticated

Just like our grand kids.

Good evening you are lucky my local Petsmart's(Pa.US) do not cats only dogs so I try to take Jake to Petco(since they do cats as well as dogs) once a year for a wash and a trim(claws and his belly poof) He is a pretty boy without and does not have a chance to get very dirty since he does not go outside anymore but I do not think that it hurts to get him done from time to time.

I gave her extra attention and special food. She seems to be doing better now. I'm a bit concerned as she is scratching a lot and losing big chunks of hair. There's a piece in her fur that's completely bald now. I'm going to the vet when Lisa and Yoko are back from camp.

With Tessie, her loss of hair is coupled with Anxiety.

An update on Homeless. It seems Cookietaster has now taken a shine to him.
