Yep as I said before I would take in another red Kitty. Well I guess God heard me.
The red Kitty with only half a tail, that wanted to approach me, as I was talking to it two weeks ago, but then decided to walk around me in the street is back. Just a few minutes ago, he she was at my back door meouwing at me.
He he came right up to me to be petted. He she let me pick it up too, but is not that comfortable with that yet.
Anyway he she it was very hungry and is chowing down outside. Cookietaster just told me, Tessie is not to fond of this one, but she went right outside with me.
I think they are still in the process of hieracy.
I will keep you posted.
MMM, I will have to have a name tho. Texas, Homeless or Foundling?
Boy I am sure keeping the Vet busy.

Well I think she settled it. When I called for Cookie, she came running. Might get a bit confusing here.
Very affectinate cat, so my gain, their last owners loss. She sure was hungry. Water has been outside since Sunday, so she was ok with that part.
Plus the Kittie window is open now.

Thanks Vic for the name idea.

An old joke I just remembered from years ago reading the last post.

HOW TO GIVE A CAT A PILL
1. Pick cat up and cradle gently in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.

2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in arm, repeat process.

3. Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw away soggy pill.

4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly in left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for count of ten.

5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse in from the back yard.

6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by the cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing a wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down rule and rub cat's throat vigorously.

7. Retrieve cat from curtains, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered vases from table and set to one side for gluing later.

8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow in drinking straw.

9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply band-aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.

10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck, leaving head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with rubber band.

11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Throw away T-shirt and fetch new one from the bedroom.

12. Phone fire department to retrieve cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.

13. Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining room table. Find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of steak. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down cat's throat to wash pill down.

14. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room. Sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.

LOL Dr Who Fan, I gave a cat pills at one time years ago, a Vet taught Me how to do that, but I'm out of practice, lets see:

Some try what is on this website, the stroking the cats throat, sounds like what I did and it did work, everytime. So far I've not had to give any medicine to Grace and She's a large Cat... Yes I still have all My fingers.

Of all the cats that I've had that have needed medicine; I've always given them drops. They've all loved the drops. I don't know what they're flavored like; however, I've never had a cat not like the drops.

I decided to name her Homeless. Not sure where she hangs out during the day. But come nightime, this is the place.
She comes to the Kitty Window, but not yet in the House, so Tessie and Tinkerbell have their space.
Tonight she got her first evening treat, a third of a small can of wet food.
Once I can trap her for a Vet trip and can afford the cost, I would like to get her chipped.

Midnight and Ruta are saying hello.

Yes Cookie and Midnight are like little Children, digging, chewing on comp cables and sock stealers.

Hopefully I will be able to post some pics on Sunday.

Grace once chewed on cables, but once She bit a lamp cord, She found that cables can bite back, She hasn't touched them since, I've got an ethernet cable in the open on the floor in the living room here between this pc and the cable modem, not a scratch or bite mark is on that cable, now She will still go after plastic, that I just have to keep an eye on and be mindful of.

When I was in Southern CA, my two cats didn't seem to destroy anything - UNTIL they discovered my Asthma Nebulizer machine... They promptly chewed holes into the air tubing. I had to get creative and buy 7 feet of automotive fuel injector hose and connect it to my nebulizer in place of the standard air hose.

Fuel injector hose is MUCH thicker than the flexible air hose. The cats gave up trying to chew on it... I think they almost hurt themselves trying.

We have a current cord chewer in our house and some of our former kitty residents were cord chompers as well. We used to use a bad tasting spray that is supposed to deter chewing. It works, but it wears out. Also, it gets in the air when you spray it and inevitably you taste it. Eric would always have some land on his beard and it was not a pleasant experience for him. Anyway, I still use the spray on cords when I wire-up my Halloween village, but for day-to-day use we now use "Critter Cord". It is essentially thick plastic tubing that is sliced down the side. You slip cords into it and critters cannot easily chew through it. It comes on a roll and you just cut off as much as you need. It sure beats having the house burn down!

Oldest Cat In World Has Birthday Party Today At 27 Years 1 day.

According to the Guinness Book of Records:
Born on March 13, 1988 in San Diego, California, Tiffany Two was bought by her owner Sharon Voorhees from a local pet shop when the record breaking kitty was six weeks old.
Sharon paid $10 for her and commonly refers to Tiffany Two as the “best money ever spent”.
