Stormtrooper entertains his cat with the Death Star

When a homesick Stormtrooper stationed on the Death Star misses his cat, there's only one thing to do...

Today I found Eva sleeping in one of Eric's shoe boxes. She had opened a sliding closet door to get in there!

Poor kitty, I'm not sure how someone did this, but, it makes a great caption...

I don't think anybody actually wrapped that cat up Vic. I think somebody built a clever cat-shaped box with a hole where the head belongs. Then that person waited for his (her?) cat to get into that box. I doubt the tail part of the box is even hollow.

Today I found Eva sleeping in one of Eric's shoe boxes. She had opened a sliding closet door to get in there!

CC, congratulations on the new kitty!

Nice pic, Vic. Looks like a very beautiful and contented Maine Coon.

Lori's kitties found the tissue paper from some of the Christmas gift unwrapping impossible to resist. I think some of it is still in the living room, most likely with a kitty napping on it.

LOL...I just spritzed a couple of their old powder puff toys with catnip oil spray....found some real good stuff....and now I am SURE I have alien kitties.

If you would like to try this with your kitties....
It's called 'From the Field' catnip essential oil rejuvenator.
About $8.00 for a one ounce spray bottle.
Not cheap, but not that expensive either, because a little goes a long way. This is not like the stuff you find in most pet supply stores in a hairspray size bottle. That little bottle might last me a year. It comes with a very nice pump spray that atomizes well. You can get it on ebay, amazon, and many other places. Just google it.

I give the puffballs just once spray on each side. The kitties are high for 20-30 minutes and then they are just lolling around on the bed contentedly and they just LOVE to be petted at that point......

Kitty tested, kitty approved.

I had a kitty that got very mean and would hiss, scratch and want to bite anything in her immediate reach, the other kitty or our three small dogs that got near her when she got "high" on catnip. So we stopped giving her any toys laced with catnip.

I've never seen that kind of reaction with any cat I have witnessed, but I am sure it could happen. My 3 all are fine with each other when nip-tripping. They share the puffballs back and forth. But, they are littermate sisters.
So, some supervision is probably warranted until one knows how their kitty reacts to it. And I guess there are just a few kitties who do not react to it much at all. Something genetic if I recall.

It's marking her territory, claiming it as hers....
A kitty pheromone spray such as Feliway can help some cats get over the need to mark. Not guaranteed, but many claim it works.

Also make sure she doesn't have a bladder infection. I had a cat that was doing that because she was holding on because it hurt to pee, then she would end up doing it on the bed. :( I hadn't even realised she had an infection.

Also good advice.
I had forgotten about my Bandit kitty about 12 years ago. She was misbehaving and going in the wrong places. I finally noticed that the times that she did use the litterbox, she would meow when going and then leap out of the litterbox right after she finished. Poor girl was having pain when she went, and then started to associate it with the litterbox. So she went elsewhere. A trip to the vet and a 10 day antibiotic regimen, and she was visibly relieved. And went back to being a good kitty and relieving herself only in the litterbox.
This can also be suspected if there is a CHANGE from good kitty to bad kitty with no other explanation.
I don't know if Siyah always did this, or if she just started doing it recently.

$30 = £20
$8 = £5

In round figures. Apparently it is only made in the USA so has to be exported? I'll see if I can do a deal with a forthcoming UK visitor :-)

Criminy....you could make a fortune in the smuggled catnip spray market...

Hmmmmmmm, but in bulk it would attract some import tax or other I'm sure. But in all seriousness, the Brits are a nation of cat lovers, there could be a business opportunity for someone there.

Maybe you want I should contact the manufacturer in the US on your behalf...for a small fee...LOL.
I could, let's say, make a few contacts. Break a little ice. Make some discreet inquiries...

You could be the sole broker into your market, eh? Nudge nudge, wink wink....

I had a good talk with Siyah yesterday. She's a very 'tough' kitty, wrote before she has the legs of a pitbul:) I think she indeed does it to mark her territory.
