Hi Vic! All four, firmly attached to my leg. I could have named him "Velcro."

Yeah, you know those aliens, always getting words mixed up - collar - belt.

He's a ver good boy.

CC

Grace follows Me around like a love sick puppy, if I lay down on the sofa/recliner, she'll either lay next to Me or on My left leg or nearby on the floor, so yeah She's attached to Me like velcro or glue... She also likes to watch running water, toilets especially, but She's a B&W 16lb Maine Coon cat with a thick fur coat. This is Grace near a Cooler Master HAF-X case eating...

CC

Awwwwwwww :) CC!!! I'm so happy!!! Orion is beautiful :) I thought and your lovely sweet Sagan KNEW, that there was another cat out there that was always meant to be loved by you! :)

Nice pic of Grace Vic - glad she didn't interrupt any important business to give us a smile :)))

@Admiral - I'm so glad Dakota Dodge recovered fully! And every penny spent on getting our lovely furries better is always worth it. In the case of our lovely dog - the first vet's bill was a complete waste of money. He wasn't a fusspot bless his nosey-wosey, and the temperature "problem" turned out to be caused by pain from stomach cancer - diagnosed literally within thirty minutes by another vet and at half the cost of the "bucket treatment" AND included painkillers, which made his last days with us pain free :)

I don't have a clue how much ours eat, a LOT. At least 2 5.75 oz cans between them for 'breakfast' (they like Ocean Whitefish first) then at least another 3 2.75oz packs (one each) As weather has got colder (little above freezing overnight) Kat-Kat and Pauli often have extra because they love being outside.
Kat-Kat prefers anything with beef in it in the afternoons/eveningPauli comes in to warm her feet and nose, then goes out again. Kat-Kat has only come in once to warm his paws on me (I didn't know cats could have such cold feet ;o) ) It's the only time so far this year they all stayed inside
They are not spoiled, they just have ME trained :o)
As for the vet bills, there are 'cheaper' vets but twice they have advised putting kitties to sleep rather than treating them. Kat-Kat needed surgery on his left paw, he used to 'fight' anything, snakes, racoon's, Possum, etc. He got into a LOT of trouble before my wife 'had him done' (he 's***' on her bed and stepdaughter who took him to vet LOL. Curled up on my chest (second time ever, first was when I had surgery) Glen has a lot of experience with cats, knows my situation and does an excellent job (been going there several years, have had some good discounts)
I'm not a complete idiot, but, I'm working on it.
I have an opinion and I'm not afraid to use it

Thanks Julie.

@ PJ, our pets know We love them. Grace is curled up sleeping on a heavy duty computer chair that I can't use, it needs a new pylon spring(or whatever that is that SteelCase put in there under the seat, the weight limit is 350lbs, I weigh a bit more, the chair needs repairs, like a lot of stuff here)...

YAY!!! :)

RE: your previous post

I THINK there was a nice follow on story to that pic CC - my mind is saying something along the lines that that little kitty found a forever home with the foot it is cuddling :) I don't think it was easy - loads of bureaucratic red tape as I recall - and possibly time in quarantine :( Not impossible I've mixed it up with another kitty - but it rang a bell in my head... if I have time over the next few days I'll try and find out and in the meantime awwwwwwwwwwwww...

Sadly, Anniet, that was not the story. I found a copy of the letter the photographer wrote:

http://www.kittyarmy.com/the-fate-of-the-kitten-begging-to-be-saved-in-vietnam/

:_{

CC

:((((((((((((( that's appalling! I could not have walked away and then justified it so dispassionately without doing something for it at least. Not even using it to raise awareness of the plight of animals there and instead remaining silent about it for years? Good grief :( The story I remembered was clearly of a much more fortunate feral kitten...

Mind you - if you follow some "heartwarming" stories beyond the initial headlines I've been disgusted by "what happened next" in so many of them :( There was one about a blind dog that another dog acted as it's "eyes" for. The animal shelter wanted them homed together because they had become inseperable and lo and behold they were following a press release - except a few weeks later - after the reporters stopped snapping pics - the blind dog was handed back to the shelter. :( Thanks for letting us know though CC :(

Present for indoor kitties:

http://onefastcat.com

I'm getting one for my furball. The selling price is higher than what is listed in the video, $199 vs $249 US actual price.

I have no connection to the company.

CC

Interesting, but how does one get ones cat to use this wheel on a regular basis without any human prompting?

Poor kitty, I'm not sure how someone did this, but, it makes a great caption...

I don't think anybody actually wrapped that cat up Vic. I think somebody built a clever cat-shaped box with a hole where the head belongs. Then that person waited for his (her?) cat to get into that box. I doubt the tail part of the box is even hollow.

Today I found Eva sleeping in one of Eric's shoe boxes. She had opened a sliding closet door to get in there!

CC, congratulations on the new kitty!

That picture of the kitten in Vietnam has been haunting me so finally I had to read the response. I can understand how difficult it would be to adopt every animal or child that needed help but to not even try when something is that small and helpless is just callous.

On a lighter note, here's Sadie asleep on back of sofa, so far she's only tried to roll over one time I know of

and one of Pauli after running around like a crazy thing, using my leg for a pillow

Our cat Gypsy is toilet trained. She also is an indoor/outdoor cat and we still try to link the two together. Meaning, she is only allowed outside after doing #2 on the toilet in an effort to keep her droppings out of our neighbors flower beds.

I am beginning to doubt that her cognitive capabilities allow her to comprehend this link. Or maybe I'm just a terrible cat trainer and need to doubt my own cognitive capabilities.
