Morning awl, I'm one part closer to making 3 pieces of wood into a printer stand, yesterday I got in a #8 countersink drill bit, next a 12" wood clamp will need to be bought, then I can have a real printer stand instead of using the slightly crushed box that My paper is in that currently supports My printer. Watching The Price is Right. The first two people on stage lost. And I don't have a glass of water as I sit here with my finished breakfast. Time to start the dishwasher. Such an exciting day... Oh God it is so Great to be alive win :) The first Monday morning after I retire I'll say that. Until then I'm sticking with being grumpy, slow moving, communicating with grunts, hitting the kettle to speed up it's boiling and setting fire to the toast :) Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. |

Vic, you were absolutely right about the corn cat litter. The clay (the same brand as my automatic box, although I saw another box of different brand and it was nearly identical) sticks to everything and gums up the rake's track, sometimes preventing it getting back to its home position, or even sticking to the limit switch so the control board thinks there's a fault. I knew without even trying it that the wood pellets I'd been using would be entirely wrong. The big pellets would not pass through the rake and it would push them all into the waste tray, but when they get wet they break down into powder that would not be raked up -- exactly the opposite of what is needed. After using up the first small box of clay, I bought a bag of corn. It clumps together very nicely, it coats the poop even better than the clay, and it doesn't stick to everything else. At this point, I can probably get rid of the second box. He seems to be doing everything in the new one. Ping!
