But they did say that this base near Rostov is being used to support and train the rebels.

Which in my book says, The US cannot verify it but thinks this rocket launcher could have been prepared here and the crew trained here.

Basically the same news but they mention they hadn't observed Buk missile systems being moved into Ukraine despite seeing everything else and also have no specific reason to believe that Russia had trained any separatists in use of those systems.

Lacking that evidence leaves open the possibility of using captured Ukrainian missiles fired by persons possibly previously trained in their use in military, either Russian or Ukrainian.

There is a Telescope-Camera Combo Device when pointed at a Flying Object, thru its Computer Linked database, can determine what kind of plane is in The Sky.

A good ideas Dull but this is Soviet-era surplus weaponry we're talking about here.

Also, I'm not sure what the situation is with regards to internet access in Eastern Ukraine right now but I suspect it's patchy at best.

I imagine an aircraft at 10km altitude is not easily identified.

The Telescope/Camera is Connected Directly to The Database. It 'is' ALL ONBOARD and Ready To Tell.

The Telescope/Camera can 'See' and Record Crystal Clear Vid as Far as Any 'Plane' or 'UFO' is 'Flying'.

It is NOT Part of The 'Surplus' Gear or New Gear. 'It' 'is' an Autonomous Unit.

'It' 'is' There There Ready to Work and Tell The Killers what They Don't Need To Know. Which 'is', No Kill dat One, IDIOTS!

Civil aircraft has a transponder turned on showing what nationality they belong.
Military aircraft do not.
The acquisition radar component allows the system to identify, track and target selected targets.

The naval system is scheduled for delivery in 2014.
It will be identified with the NATO reporting name Gollum
To be used in Baltic Sea perhaps?

The reports I've heard is there is another more sophisticated radar unit that is used in conjunction with a battery of BUK launchers. The Russians didn't bring one of those across the boarder because it would have shown they are doing the shooting.

Anyway.
Within two kilometres from Russia drove the blogger S Beech 1 meter behind a BUK, which he said was being transported from the border with Ukraine. In his opinion this is the most COMPLEX installation from which the shot was fired.
