Message 1547238 - Posted: 25 Jul 2014, 6:55:22 UTC - in response to Message 1547232.

Nearly 750 Palestinians and at least 32 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the fighting, which intensified last week when Israel launched a ground operation to destroy tunnels used by Hamas to deploy a regular stream of rockets into Israel.

Where will it end? :'(

When Islam itself stands up & tell those in their midst that what they are doing is wrong & they want them out of their society.

That'll never happen, so it will never end.

Unfortunately both sides are operating on blind rage. You can't think when you are in blind rage, so their collective IQ has fallen into the single digits.

No proof of God exists to date. However...

Could E.T have left robots behind to write manuals for backward civilisations?

...and programmed them incorrectly!

For the most part, Israel failed in this task. However, God’s ultimate purpose for Israel—that of bringing the Messiah into the world—was fulfilled perfectly in the Person of Jesus Christ.
Israel cannot be without mashiach who has yet to come.

I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the mashiach, and though he may tarry, still I await him every day.

Message 1547418 - Posted: 25 Jul 2014, 14:47:29 UTC - in response to Message 1547343.

Question: "Why did God choose Israel to be His chosen people?"

Answer: Speaking of the nation of Israel, Deuteronomy 7:7-9 tells us, “The LORD did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath He swore to your forefathers that He brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.”

God chose the nation of Israel to be the people through whom Jesus Christ would be born—the Savior from sin and death (John 3:16). God first promised the Messiah after Adam and Eve’s fall into sin (Genesis chapter 3). God later confirmed that the Messiah would come from the line of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 12:1-3). Jesus Christ is the ultimate reason why God chose Israel to be His special people. God did not need to have a chosen people, but He decided to do it that way. Jesus had to come from some nation of people, and God chose Israel.

However, God’s reason for choosing the nation of Israel was not solely for the purpose of producing the Messiah. God’s desire for Israel was that they would go and teach others about Him. Israel was to be a nation of priests, prophets, and missionaries to the world. God’s intent was for Israel to be a distinct people, a nation who pointed others towards God and His promised provision of a Redeemer, Messiah, and Savior. For the most part, Israel failed in this task. However, God’s ultimate purpose for Israel—that of bringing the Messiah into the world—was fulfilled perfectly in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Obama has finally brought the right and left together. Senators Schumer (D) NY and Cruz (R) Texas both say Obama is using the FAA to punish Israel and not for safety. Hussein Obama has a pattern of using federal agencies as his political tool. First the IRS and now the FAA.

Kerry just said a 12 hour cease fire has been agreed upon. No link it was live on CNN.

Good for them. A week long seize fire will only benefit the Hamas criminals.
This 12 hours is only to see if they can iron out a few points in the Egyptian proposal. It is grasping at straws; Kerry has another press conference in 12 hours.

God did not write the books attributed to him. Satan did, through his minions. And Satan's plan to have the people of God wage war on each other is blossoming to full glory.

Anyone who looks at the history of what became after these books were written has to agree they can not be the work of God. God would never write his works in a way that could be used for such evil. Only Satan has that kind of evil in his heart. To split and divide and set man upon man.

'Civilians must be protected, may not be targeted' - video

Jon Snow talks to Navi Pillay, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, who has said there's "a strong possibility" that Israel's attacks on Gaza amount to a war crime.

The UN wouldn't know a war crime even if one slapped them in the face: -

These rockets are aimed at Israel’s civilian population, and are unprovoked, sent with murderous intent. Since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge, Hamas has fired over 1,500 rockets into Israel. The Palestinian envoy to the UN human rights council, Ibrahim Khreisheh, observed that Hamas rocket-fire amounts to war crimes, “whether it hits or misses, because it is directed at civilian targets”.

Depends on your definition of Guerrilla Warfare.

If non-uniform, possibly 'Illegal Combatants' (Geneva Convention), TARGET the Military Infrastructure, of what they believe, or actually is, their Enemy: This would not be considered a 'War Crime'.

If their TARGET is Civilian. If they Machine Gun Children on School Buses. Kidnap and Murder Children. If they use Children as HUMAM SHIELDS, to protect their weapons: THEY would be considered WAR CRIMINALS.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the video.
