Hi Julie, Lynn, Wiggo and Chris, beer went down today great. at 94 F and the sun was hot so i stayed mostly inside. Looks like it's going to be pretty much the same all week too. :(

I see lightning did a number on 50 on the beach in LA today and 3 on one islands and one was killed. :( Don't they know playing golf in a lightning storm is bad for your health? ((@¿@))
Cheers everybody

I've had a good look around and yes you can buy Cuvee des Trolls and other Belgian beers in the UK, from a few places but apparently only online, and as it is sourced from Belgium its £7.50 postage and often it is a minimum of a case. Bernie often has some interesting beers that he buys locally where he lives, there may be Belgian ones available there. It would be expensive to send beer over Julie and I don't know about customs rules. Probably the best bet is to swop some beers next visit.

edit - Hi Lynn!

I sent Grant 2 cans of Jupiler last week, all the way to California! It costed me around €14 :)

Thanks Julie I owe you one, I have to think what to send you. Have any ideas? I'll be glad to pay no problem.

That is £11 UK money, or $19 USA money. Was it surface mail, parcel post, or airmail?

It was parcel post via airmail.

Wiggo - you put forward the theory that people weren't here because they had a life... :) at the time you were posting that my life consisted of crawling around the floor and muttering unprintable things about my broadband and my broadband provider. Thank you for thinking of me :)

Hello everyone :)

eight hours being told it was my computer at fault - eight hours! Don't BT realise it's ALWAYS their fault - except when things start smoking and ztssing of course... then it MIGHT not be their fault...

Good Morning everyone,

Thanks Julie, that is very generous of you but I feel I should pay the postage at least if not all of it. Well you sent it last week, maybe it will show up in another week or so.

Cool here this morning but its going to be hot in a few hours. :( Plenty of fires going on which I knew would happen this year.
Cheers everybody

The postman said 10 days, I sent it last Saturday so I think by Wednesday or Thorsday you'll have it and I don't want to hear anything anymore about paying me back you hear! ;)

Beer o'clock here, cheers:)

Not sure it will ever arrive Julie.
Its not allowed to ship beer in the US.
I`m working in this buisness.
Good luck anyways.

Really? That guy at the post office didn't say anything about that. The parcel is closed with lots of tape around it, you think they'll check it through X-Rays? Cheers!

Did you specifically tell the post office guy that there were two cans of beer in the parcel? If so he should have known, else he would not have thought to ask. Was there a customs label on it? It may get through the system unless it gets xrayed or passes through a metal detector. All you can do is to just hope for the best.

Oh, and one final tip, always put a sent from address on anything to the States, letter or parcel, they insist on it. Good job I did with ES99's wedding present :-))

I did put a retour address on it but hope I don't get it back:) Cheers!

In the 80s my Mom wanted to send me a bottle of Schnapps. Eventually got a letter from US customs, stating I had 30 days to pick it up in Newark New Jersey.
It is really up to you to research what you can and can not ship to a specific Country.
