I have spoken to Ned Ludd. We'll just say he tired of some issues here and made his way elsewhere. |

Officers Mess 47A Silk Road Khyber Pass UR1 IR2 My esteemed colleagues, Re your posts of the 11th inst, I have been given to understand that general enquiries have been made appertaining to my whereabouts and general disposition. I am pleased therefore to take this opportunity to respond to your kind concerns. I have been for some time now in foreign climes to recover from an iniquitous altercation in the local Emporium run by no other than the aforementioned Mrs. Miggins, when I had popped in for some warm bloomers. In previous communications from her I had believed that she was chaste, and I was a welcome suitor, but I discovered to my dismay that this was not indeed the case. It appeared that her spelling was somewhat bereft of accuracy and that in fact she was chased (by many others), and that my attentions did not suit her. To recover from such a cruel blow, I therefore purchased a Postal & Orient steamer ticket, packed my portmanteau, and embarked on a journey culminating at my present location. I find the climate equitable, although the local cuisine is shall we say somewhat different from the New Delhi in Gasworks Lane. I would venture to suggest that I still have high hopes regarding Mrs Miggins and would be pleased to receive any news of the said personage. In the meantime I send you all my warmest felicitations and good wishes for your future prosperity. I beg to remain you most humble friend, Sidney J. Snodgrass (Retd) Late of her Majesties 3rd Foot & Mouth Will Muriel Miggins ever be mine? |

:))))) Oh that is indeed a perplexing revelation appertaining to Mrs Miggins, Mr Snodgrass. Could you perchance have stumbled across her at an inopportune juncture... as she engaged with a nefarious day? Or a faulty corset eventuality perchance? The Khyber Pass seems such a long way to go for one so esteemed, but... may I pass on the tidings that it is indeed a pleasure encountering you on this grey London morn? :) |

Genghis Khan Bar & Grill 24C High Street Spin Ghar My Dear Miss Anniet, If I might crave your indulgence and make so bold, I believe we have not been formally introduced, but it is indeed quite delightful to make your acquaintance. I trust that I find you in the rudest of health and that your slightly singed supercilliums have fully recovered to resume their no doubt feminine fluttering. Regarding the aforementioned Emporium incident, a faulty corset eventuality was indeed a possibility, as could also have been an unintended suspender disengegement, or a unplanned hosiery circumstance. But I think that it was probably more akin to someone taking liberties with her bodice. I am sorry to learn that the London weather is currently somewhat inclement, but that does bring back fond memories of previously visiting Mrs. Miggins's Delicatessen and bakery, where handling her warm baps was such a tonic on a cold winters day. It has been signal pleasure to converse with you young Lady, and upon my eventual return to the shores of Blighty, I trust that I may be permitted to offer you some light refreshment at the local tea rooms. Your most humble servant, Sidney J. Snodgrass (Retd.) Late of Her majesties 3rd Foot & Mouth Will Muriel Miggins ever be mine? |

I see Sidney has not lost any of his charm, I've be gone for five minutes and he's chatting up the ladies and discusing my nether garments. The story of my life, shaken but never stirred, sigh. I know that beating egg whites poses no problem....I know from experience that a swift wrist action can make almost anything stand up stiffly. |

Well1 If I'd known this thread would be so much fun, I would have started it earlier. And in that spirit, I hope no one objects to the addition of a subtitle. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |
