You are by definition part of a group that has ready made excuses. You have what is called white privilege. The benefits of your skin colour or many. One of them is that you get away with so much more than someone with darker skin.

One thing confuses me, regarding this Case.

Yes, I have repeatedly watched the Video, of the Officer repeatedly punching the women, for no apparent reason.

However, it is reported this women suffered NO Injury's. The Officer appears to be a powerful man. Having been the 'Puncher' and 'Punchee', many times: Why no injury's?

Caree Harper says 51-year-old Marlene Pinnock is being treated for head injuries and emotional trauma from the July 1 confrontation. A trust fund has been set up to help pay for treatment.

Quite frankly I find that the time that it takes for an investigation to be finalised over there in cases like the original post to be very disturbing.

I'm sorry, but over here this long extended delay would certainly be looked upon as a cover up job by the authority hoping that the incident will just go away, be forgotten or just disappear from the public's mind all together.

I know. But she got shyster. That gums up the process. Suddenly everyone has to get a shyster and every question has to be filtered through a dozen shysters before it is asked and the answer filtered through a different dozen shysters before it is spoken. It makes the investigation go very slow.

Yeah we have those praying mantis shysters over here as well Gary, but that doesn't allow them to hold up an investigation for this long. It would've been before the courts here already which is where those shysters can then slow things up, but it would've at least been in the court system, not in "no mans land" as it still is (in fact the Ferguson incident would've been in the court system here by now). ;-)

An NYPD officer was caught on a disturbing video tackling a clearly pregnant woman and riding her to the ground early Saturday in Brooklyn.

The recording shows Sandra Amezquita, who is 5-foot-4 and five months pregnant, being grabbed by the arm and thrown to the pavement with the cop on her back in Sunset Park around 2:15 a.m.

The baby’s father, Ronel Lemos, said he watched in horror as his wife hit the ground belly-first.

“The first thing I thought was they killed my baby and they’re going to kill my wife,” Lemos, 50, told the Daily News on Tuesday.

Moments later, another unidentified woman was violently flung to the ground on Fifth Ave. and 41st St.

“You would think the police would respect a woman that is pregnant,” Amezquita, 43, said through an interpreter in an exclusive interview with The News.

“I was afraid something happened to my baby. I am still afraid that something is wrong,” she said, referring to the abdominal pain that persists.

Marlene Pinnock, the 51-year-old great-grandmother seen in a video being punched by a California Highway Patrol officer, has settled her case against the agency.

Pinnock will receive $1.5 million, according to KTLA. In addition, the Associated Press reports that Officer Daniel Andrew will resign.

The July 1 video recorded by a passerby along the I-10 on-ramp near La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles shows Pinnock attempting to walk away from Andrew.

"He grabbed me, he threw me down, he started beating me, he beat me," Pinnock said when when later describing the incident to the AP. "I felt like he was trying to kill me, beat me to death."
