Feds consider probe into CHP beating captured on video, sources say Yes. Know that well. Lived through the Rodney King riots when the police were acquitted in state court in a lily white upper middle income state court house, and then were convicted at the downtown mixed race federal court house. |

Remember, in this case, in the US: The Federal, and State Governments, are considered SEPERATE Governments, and the Officer is NOT covered under the Constitutional Protections of 'Double Jeopardy'.That's how the cops in the Rodney King beating were tried twice. Poor Rodney got rich then drowned drunk in his pool. |

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_ARREST_STRUGGLE_DEATH?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2014-08-01-21-36-46 Autopsy: Police chokehold caused NYC man's death @Clyde, I thought you said there wasn't a chokehold? If not, how could the medical examiner make the determination it was a cause death? |

When someone is really 'Chocking to Death': They can't speak You seem to be fixated upon the windpipe. That is not the only pipe in the neck that can be "choked" or constricted. |

This paragraph is telling from Garys link. Eric Garner, a black man whose confrontation with a white police officer has prompted calls by the Rev. Al Sharpton for federal prosecution, was killed by neck compressions from the chokehold and "the compression of his chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police," city medical examiner spokeswoman Julie Bolcer said. Asthma, heart disease and obesity were contributing factors in the death of the 43-year-old Garner, a 6-foot-3, 350-pound father of six, she said. [/quote] Old James |

When someone is really 'Chocking to Death': They can't speak He seems to know rather a lot about choking people to death. Anyone else find this disturbing? Reality Internet Personality |

When someone is really 'Chocking to Death': They can't speak He be me? LAPD had a rash of chokehold deaths which the news media covered in excruciating detail. Finally chief had to order every officer retrained and retrained again to never use a chokehold on a suspect. It seems people with certain "medical conditions" are especially susceptible to death if a chokehold is used. Also they started to have a rash of in custody deaths of people hogtied and left on their stomach. That is also now forbidden. As is sitting on suspects and compressing their chests. NYPD seems to be at least two decades behind the LAPD in this. |

When someone is really 'Chocking to Death': They can't speak No. I mean he. His description seems to be one based on personal experience of watching people choke (on more than one occasion) rather than something he has read up on. I was wondering if it is actually fairly common for police officers to choke people. Reality Internet Personality |

It is the first thing taught in martial training. Apparently the NYPD has a different definition of the word than the entire rest of the world. A usual method of scoundrels. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chokehold wrote: A chokehold, choke, stranglehold or, in Judo, shime-waza (Japanese: 絞技; English: constriction technique)[1] is a general term for grappling hold that critically reduces or prevents either air (choking)[2] or blood (strangling) from passing through the neck of an opponent. The restriction may be of one or both and depends on the hold used and the reaction of the victim. |

Officer named in CHP freeway beating incident Daniel L. Andrew has been identified as the California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer who was caught on video repeatedly punching a woman who was walking along the Santa Monica (10) Freeway on July 1, according to a lawsuit filed by the woman’s attorneys. http://parklabreanewsbeverlypress.com/news/2014/07/officer-named-in-chp%E2%80%88freeway-beating-incident/ |

As the OP to this thread Clyde I can see no "Hi-Jack" happening here, though you and Battered Up seem to be trying hard to go off topic. ;-) Now back to the police brutality. Thanks for the update Lynn. Cheers. |

Another stop with a twist. Who would be the worst person to throw to the ground. ‘Do You Know Who the F*ck I Am?’ FL Cop Pulls over the Wrong Guy… Watch the body language of the uniformed officers change as they realize the guy they are piling on is a Lieutenant with internal affairs. |
