Noon, in Louisville, Kentucky, and watching an old Tchaikovsky performance on Turner Classic Movies channel.

I Love Turner Classic Movies channel,
I like watching the Great old classic Movies :)

There was a good Tallulah Bankhead movie on yesterday - Lifeboat. Alfred Hitchcock directed it.

Were you able to find Hitchcock in the movie? In most of his movies, he shows up; however, I've never been able to find him.

Yes, funny you should ask. One of the people in the lifeboat was holding a newspaper, and in an advertisement for a diet remedy, you see a profile of Hitchcock, and a slimmer version.

Gordon ... Louisville, Kentucky is truly a very Beautiful city ... with a very Great and long History.

Best Wishes
Byron

Thank you, Byron. :~) I was born and raised in Louisville, and have never lived anywhere else. I like it. "Old Louisville" is near my house, and downtown. The University of Louisville, where I graduated, is part of Old Louisville. It is a very cool area. :~) In the Fall, the neighborhood hosts a big art fair - St. James Court Art Fair.

thank you Gordon for that Link.

Looks like a lot of fun :)

St. James Court Art Fair ...

Best Wishes

Good Morning Gordon and Good Morning everyone,

one of my all time Great Classic Movie is ... A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

a little copy and paste from Wikipedia.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a American film (1945) the first film directed by Greek-American director Elia Kazan, starring James Dunn (who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor), Dorothy McGuire, Joan Blondell, and Peggy Ann Garner (who won the Academy Juvenile Award).

The film is based on an American novel A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith first published in 1943. It relates the coming-of-age story of its main character, Francie Nolan, and the story of her life from the age 11 to 17 ... against a backdrop of tenement life in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, in 1910.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a 1943 novel written by Betty Smith. The story focuses on an impoverished but aspirational third-generation-American adolescent girl and her ethnically-blended family in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York City during the first two decades of the 20th century. The book was an immense success.

The main metaphor of the book is the hardy Tree of Heaven, native to China and Taiwan, now considered invasive, and common in the vacant lots of New York City

this movie makes me cry for Happiness for the Little girl and her Dad every time I get a chance to watch it.
