A small venting of a Gripe, Message from server: Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of SETI@home v8. I bloody well know that! I don't want any CPU tasks on my AMD 4200, That is why I have my preferences set to NO CPU TASKS for that computer. Kudos, I know the entire Seti team (including volunteers) are doing a great job of handling the transition to v8. I know there is a LOT of work being done behind the scenes to make this transition as smooth as possible. |

Gripe: My house has been FREEZING since the Seti outage and I've had to run my heater for the first time in YEARS. Kudos: Slowly getting more work AND the house is slowly warming up, but I look forward to GPU units so I can have a nice, toasty house. Idea: Can we start doing SETI outages in the middle of the summer in the Northern Hemisphere? I could save a small fortune on air conditioning. ;) -baron_iv Proud member of: GPU Users Group |

...people who use main as a place to test their pet compilation and produce loads of errors. There are two places for test "alpha" and "beta" depending on the maturity of the application's testing. Any heating problems should be solved by seti 8.0. I THOUGHT I was running full throttle for the last 16 years but this new batch of algorithms has my cpu temps up over 5 degrees C. P.S. make that 10 degrees. gonna have to take it off turbo mode. If you don't touch it, you can't break it. ; |

Gripe Developers that argue with others that are trying to help the project. Come on guys, everyone is trying to help at the best of their ability. Kudus I know everyone is trying, and spending many hours trying to develop new codes. |

Kudos: To Eric, for normally managing transitions smoothly when he does them to his own scientific timetable. Gripe: To those further up the feeding chain, who make timetables in secret but don't keep to them themselves, or lift a finger to help. |

Kudos: To all who have been working so hard to get us a NVGPU Ap. Gripe: People who hijack threads with an unrelated question and people who can not read the title of a thread, like "News" and post questions there. SETI@home classic workunits 4,019 SETI@home classic CPU time 34,348 hours |
