One thing I hope people do not do when (well if, and that's a big question) the message gets onto these forums that I have died, is that they all just post RIP. When I died, I died, I didn't rip. So either use the dots between the letters, type its abbreviation meaning out in full, or do something else and original. But just the impersonal and in my eyes wrong use of just RIP, YucK! As if you were in such a hurry to quickly post there, or as if you're not really interested but post there to show others that you have read it. Then just don't post. |

Gripes: None, because whatever complaints I have, there's always someone who has real problems that are much worse than mine. :) Kudos: Another thanks to the S@H staff for their hard work, and a related bonus -- emerging from the 17 Mar 15 outage (seemingly) unscathed! |

Gripes.. Nah too numerous to mention and few are S@H related:-) Kudos, just made 5 mill on e@h and 3.09 mill on S@H.. Taken me longer than I thought, but then I keep vanishing for a couple/few years:-) Cheers, Cliff |

Hi Brent, Thanks:-) Now I DO have gripe!! When in the name of Zandru's 7th hell are the people running DC projects going to get a bleeding grip of their server software?? I'm pretty damn tired of having to babysit BOINC 20 hours out of 24 if I want to get tasks sorted out and processed in a respectable time frame. 1st S@H has server hardware & software problems, followed in a matter of hours by E@H, then A@H has software problems that continue to date. And once again E@H is borking uploads and I'm having to run 2x WU per GPU and suspend other projects to get rid of a backlog, created by trying to work around E@H's upload problem. So now S@H is suspended for at least 12 hours, maybe more.. The only bit of good news is that I 'might' get the backlog of tasks waiting S@H validation done.. Well I feel a lot better now:-) Rant over Cheers, Cliff, Been there, Done that, Still no damm T shirt! |

Is there a reason why my wu's are not run in order of deadline? They seem to skip sometimes way into the future and not processing the most urgent ones. |

Is there a reason why my wu's are not run in order of deadline? They seem to skip sometimes way into the future and not processing the most urgent ones. Boinc will process Wu in First In, First Out order, If Wu's are in deadline trouble only then will it switch to running them first, If Boinc were to always run Wu's with the closest deadlines, then projects like CPDN with really long deadlines wouldn't get any work done.
