Hi All. I had a HD die at the start of the Month. Got new HD reinstalled got Seti up and running, processing CPU_GPU OK. I still have many work units not completed from the time before the HD died. Am I able to get them back so other people do not have to wait till late November.
Thanks Boots

Seconding Wiggo's gripe about people who don't even bother to read the thread they are posting in let alone reading the various news and status updates...

This is probably exacerbated by the typical "newest post first" sort of forum posts. I personally set them all for "oldest first." The system does a very good job of remembering what you read last and taking you right to the first post you haven't read yet.

To be on topic, kudo to whoever designed it that way.

Gripe, when the have to restore the system loses track of what posts you have read.

Kudos to all the staff.

Yes a bit annoying, but I can live with that.
A good Brain exercise in MHO.

I don't know if this is the place to post this or not. I installed the new boinc and my system went into a series of partial boots and never seemed to install. Confounding this a new malware engine had just come in. I had to back of everthing to get my system running.
With the dearth of SETI work units my font becomes invisible and requires a reboot.
I can live with all of this, glad the project exists.

No it's not the right place (surely you must have read this thread's rules contained in the 1st post). ;-)

You should start a new thread for any problems, but make sure that your antivirus isn't getting in the way (maybe a mod will move this to a new thread).

Cheers.

Yes, Kudos all around for the project administrators and technicians. Looks like I finally cleared out the backlog of unvalidated AP tasks completed before the drought. The RAC is climbing back from the gutter for SETI. Certainly won't ever achieve the high RAC I was generating over at MilkyWay and Einstein while the project was out or work, but am grateful I am crunching SETI work on my new GPU's. Even have a few of the new AP work loaded today.

+1

Cheers, Keith
