This could be the beginning of something big...or a dead end. Whatever it is, it's interesting.

Information including a demonstration was on Beyond the wormhole several weeks ago concerning this phenomenon. Very curious.

Yes,

I always felt a little queasy swallowing quantum mechanics and the mystical properties that were ascribed to it. I can easily see how energy comes in discrete levels; but I felt that it was always a leap of faith for the Schrodinger cat type of silliness.

Quantum Mechanics is indeed a leap of faith. The idea was just 'dreamt up' and tested to see if it worked out. It worked out to give good results.

And it continues to prove to be the best description of that part of reality that we have.

It's certainly not the whole story, but it hasn't failed us yet.

That is our reality as we know it.

The Schrodinger cat experiment/question is as much philosophical as real or imaginary. If nothing knows of your existence, need you exist at all?

Yes,

I suppose that its not for no reason why perhaps the leading Physics review is called "The Philosophical Journal"

Hmm, so the oil droplets I've observed bouncing around on surface when doing oil changes on various vehicles over the years are really an unintentional quantum observation? Always wondered how the surface tension allowed this to happen ;-)

Several quantum mechanical-like effect have be reproduced on a macroscopic scale, where they are apparently determined by classical physics. If this work can be confirmed and expanded, it seems possible that this way lies the long-sought unification of all the physical forces.

Wonder if this means we are not going to "beam me up scotty" in any time soon . Dang Einstein, said God doesn't gamble . No spooky interactions then , oh hang on maybe that means the opposite to what I said and we will be "beaming you up " soon , Paris to L.A in 1 sec ........Knowing where any particile is at any time means TELEPORTATION

It takes longer than a second, you couldn't get the sound effect to operate faster LOL
