Message 1534526 - Posted: 1 Jul 2014, 20:46:20 UTC

I have been using seti@home for a bit, my reports should validate what I'm saying - I need help. If you know of someone, an expert, or experts, who can examine my results, or come to my town to see, that would be excellent. Things are dangerous and scary here. Two nights ago, my entire town got laid to waste, and built up again like it was at daybreak. except it isn't the same as it was. I have video of it being built back up. And countless pictures. Not to mention, if you scan my area with any kind of equipment you will see. WE NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so alarmed with how invaded my town has gotten that I feel 110% comfortable posting the name of it.

Halfway, Oregon. 97834. HELP US PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Maimedkiwi to the SETI Forums!

I agree with Ageless, Steven Spielberg might like your story.

I'm the man who can save your town and will fly out tonight. Give me your phone number so I can call you from the airport so you can pick me up and take me to my accommodations.

I posted this in the cafe SETI board, not number crunching.

I hope someone somewhere takes this seriously.

Maimedkiwi, I can see that you're having problems with your workunits erroring out.

Maybe your laptop is overheating though it maybe something else, do start another thread for this problem over in Number Crunching, but do leave out the invasion part. ;-)

Now as to your invasion, can you give more details?

Cheers.

Does this girl really need help or is this another hoot by the photographer. What's in the water in the Cascades?

Halfway is east of the Cascades.

And the Snake River flows east out of the Cascades so what is your point?

No it doesn't. The Snake flows into the Columbia east of Kennewick which eventually flows west thru the Cascades. My question is why are you making up geographical errors?

Well... :) some brief research does show that in the last 3 years, population has risen by 49... and the town does have a strong link with the post office... It's not impossible Maimedkiwi is the only one who doesn't work for it I suppose...

There are also 29 houses and blocks of land for sale there.

But I think that the biggest question would be how a New Zealander got there.

Cheers.

That is intriguing! Not just got there, but got worried there. Aren't New Zealanders quite laid back usually?

Most are so laid back that you have to check their pulse occasionally. :-D

Yes... I remember having to do that when I had four of them camping in my front room for a month Wiggo :) They responded well to popcorn as I recall... or seemed significantly less embalmed anyway :)

The ones I have met seemed to respond well to beer and became quite animated with rugby especially if they were playing.
