Spent a very interesting hour in the local Anglican cathedral today, for a Canada Day concert and singalong. They were really playing to their audience. Along with several Canadian folk songs re-arranged for organ, or piano and harp, we got Jerusalem and The Maple Leaf Forever, and then closed with Pomp and Circumstance on the organ. Nearly blew the roof off. You non-Canadians may not appreciate this subtly, but the audience actually stood to sing The Maple Leaf Forever. My wife, of Dutch ancestry, was horrified. For you Yanks, this is kind of the Canuck equivalent of flying the Confederate flag. London is very Anglo. |

This isn't made in Canada, but that cake made me think of this candy. It's really good. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
