Not needed at this time,But I would like to take a computer out of service without wasteing a WU and hurting someone else doing the same WU.
Can this be done by setting the Connect to network about every -- days to 0.0 and let the WU finish before I take it off line for any length of time?
And how do I do this on just one computer without afecting the other computers?

Haven't tried resently, but atleast earlier you'll ask for more work then empty even if set to 0 days. But one method always working is to increase "leave at least N GB free" to be larger than the free disk-space. By this method you'll ask for more work, but not get any since haven't enough disk-space. To do this on only one computer, either use separate venue, or fill the hd up with junk.

Just to be contrary, and to say once again the whole point to the way BOINC is designed is to say that you cannot "waste" a WU (actually a result) by just doing a detach or reset. The system is self-correcting and they will get their credit. They just won't be instantly gratified.

With a larger population of participants we will be seeing this a lot more, but it only hurts for a little while. :)

Reset happens, computers get taken out of production, Results get lost, but BOINC fixes itself.

Hi

In Boinc 4.56 you can suspend a WU, what is a better way than reset i think.
Nothing is lost.
But 4.56 is Alpha, just my 2 cents.
