He is in recovery; but they haven't assigned him a room yet. As expected, he will be in overnight. The kidney was inflamed and infected, (per the doctor), and had to come out. Previous reports stated that it had been reduced to just 10% functionality. All of this was due to scar tissue in the ureter which allowed three large kidney stones to block up the ureter, causing the infection and reduced functionality of the kidney.
