Getting close to bedtime. Gotta go to the museum in the morning.

Who decided that a combination of vanilla and caramel ice creams, plus orange sherbet, should be called Chicago Brick? Regardless, they all melt at different rates.

You're living in the wrong country Vic! Over here 5 quarts is 5.68 litres. No wonder you guys are lightweights at beer drinking :-)

Hi Annie!

What do I know? I just reported what the label says. :D

Hi Annie!

If one uses Imperial Quarts one would be right, but this container is measured in US Quarts, so 5qts does also equal 4.73L... :)

The Empire is long dead, of course any surviving Darth's won't be happy, but that isn't My concern. ;)

Being British one does of course, and consequently one IS right! We don't go in for all this modern continental malarkey of litres (spelt correctly) a quart is two PROPER pints and evermore shall be so (cue Green Grow the Rushes O in the background ..)

The Empire is long dead

Now then young Vic, as a self professed Star Wars fan you should remember "The Empire Strikes Back", so beware, else the ghost of Queen Victoria (Empress of India) will come and haunt you :-)

“Empire committed the cardinal sin of not actually ending,” Whedon noted during his 10-page deep-dive interview with Entertainment Weekly in this week’s issue. “Which at the time I was appalled by and I still think it was a terrible idea.”

To which your EW interviewer blurted: “You think Empire had a bad ending?”

“Well, it’s not an ending,” Whedon explained about the 1980 film, which had a cliffhanger leading into the next entry of the series, Return of the Jedi. “It’s a Come Back Next Week, or in three years. And that upsets me. I go to movies expecting to have a whole experience. If I want a movie that doesn’t end I’ll go to a French movie. That’s a betrayal of trust to me. A movie has to be complete within itself, it can’t just build off the first one or play variations.”

Oh well in that case yah boo to Startrek as well then :-) There has been and only will be, one Empire of any kind worth writing anything about, and that was the British one. Although granted the Romans made a fair stab at it in their time, and the Spanish had a bit of an influence in the Panama area once. The Byzantines had a bash at it as did the Mongols.

So did some of us Southern Boys.
As you know, I wuz born north of the defining line.
My heart left me many years ago and traveled down there.
It's never come back. So, I have to tag along and try to catch it once in a long while.

Winning on a warm summer morning. Not a cloud in the sky, only sunshine and 100F temperatures forecast as far as the eye can see.

Heading off shortly for Saturday Cup of Jazz. Missed the past two Saturdays with other commitments, feeling the need for live music and the company of my friends...... and a tankard of coffee and a fresh-baked cinnamon pastry.
