TeleNor are dropping the e-mail service I used for years at the end of this month. I have, just now, resubscribed to the e-mail lists I normally read, (boinc_dev, boinc_stats etc.). What I could not see, was a way to remove my old address subscription, which probably means I'll get each twice, at least for the next few weeks. Frankly, I can live with that, but the server will be sending the mails twice, and after this month, getting failures for my old address. How do I remove the old address subscriptions, does it matter?

Your options are:
1. Unsubscribe from the lists. To do so, go via http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/ and to the lists you subscribe to. At each list, bottom of the page, Unsubscribe or edit options. Use the Unsubscribe button.

2. Change your email address. Same Unsubscribe or edit options page as above, Changing your boinc_xxxx membership information section, fill in the email address twice to change to the new email address. Check Change globally.

Of course, if you already newly subscribed with the new email address, unsubscribing with the old email address is your course of action. But just so you know for a next time, or in case someone else wants to do so, changing the email address isn't much of a problem either. :)

Thanks man. Just done that.

I'd have known this myself, or been able to find it when I was alive. The anoxic brain damage I received when I had my heart attack reduced me in a few hours from a professional software engineer to a worthless heap of wreckage.

To everyone:

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU - IT IS ABSOLUTE HELL.
