If we can't chage the weather enough to make a difference what the hell makes anyone think we can change the climate. Must not conflict resolve by suggesting that someone should go sit on an ice pick... |

If we can't chage the weather enough to make a difference what the hell makes anyone think we can change the climate. Here you are University of Illinois - The Online Meteorology Guide, I've done the search for you, now go and read and inwardly digest. |

What is Science? And blind fools can always ask more nonsense questions than the wise have time or the inclination to answer... An important part of science is to ask questions, but in a useful and directed way so as to expand and refine our understanding of the word around us by using real word evidence. Sorry, but your psueudo religious arguments trashing science as some sort of religion just do not cut reality. You are welcome to your religious dreams. Science is very different to that. Tony "the mad" Abbott may become Australia's shortest serving Liberal Prime minister as he tries to abolish the Clean Energy Finance Corporation and repeal the carbon tax as both have now been rejected twice by the current sitting Senate arming the trigger to a double dissolution calling for another election of both houses. Will he be game enough to pull that trigger considering the low popularity of both himself and his party? Or will he wait for the new Senate in July to take their seats before trying again? http://www.news.com.au/national/greens-give-abbott-government-a-double-dissolution-trigger-over-the-abolition-of-the-clean-energy-finance-corporation/story-fncynjr2-1226958741882 Cheers. |

If we can't chage the weather enough to make a difference what the hell makes anyone think we can change the climate. 1 2 3 the lie of 97% was started right in my home state of Illinois. LOL,LOL,LOL,LOL!LMBO!LMBO!LMBO!WHOOT!LMBBO! I have done the research for you. One should really look---deeper then the average Joe, just saying... If we can't chage the weather enough to make a difference what the hell makes anyone think we can change the climate. Y-e-e-s... did look deeper, just as you suggested ID... 1. William Happer - no peer reviewed papers on the subject of climate change since receiving his degree in 1964) Director of the George C. Marshall Institute and heavily funded by ExxonMobil. General consensus of peers: Even Princeton makes mistakes. Hilarious link - thankyou :) 2. Dr Caleb Rossiter - Statistician and politician (anti vietnam war activist as a teenager, and pro arms control - an idealist). Dismissed from a left wing thinktank for promoting the use of fossil fuels in Africa instead of renewable energy resources. Not a climate expert by any means. 3. Dr. Richard Lindzen - metereologist. Member of the Science, Health, and Economic Advisory Council of the Annapolis Center (a Maryland-based think tank funded by corporations including ExxonMobil) also the George C Marshall Institute, Cato, Heartland, etc (all funded by the fossil fuel industry). With a history of giving speeches underwritten by OPEC, Lindzen charges oil and coal interests $2,500 a day for his consulting services. He has had the good grace of no longer citing his own papers that have been rejected following peer review... even though they continue to be widely quoted by climate change sceptics. (Believes ExxonMobil to be one of the most ethical companies on the planet - SNORT - laughing at this one was painful :/) 4. Dennis Prager - revisiting a discredited myth. If this will help... in a scrutiny of the unconvinced three percent (measured by peer reviewed publication and citation rates) their average expertise was found to be far below that of their colleagues. Did find that funny :) Also: I think you may have missed the point when you read the online metereological guide ID - I think it was meant to help you understand the difference between weather and climate. Late edit: If you get a moment... could I have slightly more challenging links than those ID :) - but thankyou for these ones anyway :) |

You take issue with princeton university? Hi ID :) How are you? I have no issues with Princeton university. I was merely pointing out that some do :) As to your second question: Don't let it upset you overly ID :) According to wiki, Illinois is often considered to be a microcosm of the whole of the USA :) |

:) Is this what you mean...? I like challenges :) And the issue of climate change challenges so many great thinkers :) I suspect I might start liking the deafening rythm that comes from banging my head on hard surfaces too one day... be interesting to see which day... |

Anniet, I like your style and presentation. That was a very close call for the screen and keyboard being splattered in coffee from a highly jocular snort! Thanks, still giggling. And those people you listed make a living from spreading Market FUD to discredit Science to instead promote pollution?! Still a big ouch! I think there should be "crimes against humanity" thrown at that group! You take issue with princeton university? Yes Indeed. look into the PEAR institute. I also take issue with one of my Alma Maters, Duke University, for allowing JB Rhine (and wife) to foster their nonsense upon the gullible. But then again it has a Divinity School as well. As with all false religions (and I do mean ALL is the operative word here) great harm to society comes from advancing a false notion and completely mucking up the society that follows it with religious fervor. The dialogue here has been elevated recently with some thoughtful posts on both sides. let's have more of it. |

You take issue with princeton university? The lie is that 97% of so called scientist believe that global warming/climate change is real. That claim is false. It is a damn lie, bottom line. Yet the press passes that lie off on the rest of us just like 1984. Once gain you have taken a science question and answered it with a political line of B.S. Not really like you, leads me to believe your not you but a avatar. That was the first lie, the lie of 97% Your second mistake was thinking I'm stupid. Don't worry yourself about that, you're not the only one. That microcosm is from I80 on up north... Must not conflict resolve by suggesting that someone should go sit on an ice pick... |

Interesting claim that you dispute the "97% of scientists" claim in your usual manner, by presenting zero evidence to support your statement. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
