Hello I.D nice try but not going to bite mate

ecept that O2 under 21% does make offspring have smaller brains

Your proof that this will happen? I don't see much pointing at a thing called proof.

And smaller brain does not equate less intelligence, just saying...

tell ya what ask me to prove it in 70 yrs when kids are born with smaller brains and then you may have to rethink I.D as a theory as it will point to "oh no" Darwin's theory being correct !!!

there you go I bit ok.....hehehehe

the current guestimate is that a computer model running at 25 teraflops

could predict weather out to up to a month in advance world wide with accuracy in the high 90's

it has been proposed that through volunteer computing this might be done.

so if one is to argue either for or against global warming and what to do about it

first we need an accurate model so we can figure out what has to be done and then how to do it.

and if volunteer computing is what will make this possible i guess that i will

have to build a much faster gaming rig.

Meanwhile, for some real-world denial that is having an ever more expensive impact here and now:

England 'exposed' to climate risks

England is still not doing enough to tackle the risks from climate change, government advisers say....

... three-quarters of existing flood defences are inadequately maintained because of a cash shortage.

Rules to avoid floods affecting new developments have also been delayed.

The government says it has offered an extra £270m to repair storm-damaged defences and is committed to adapting infrastructure to extreme weather. But the CCC says that at current rates of investment in flood defences, flood risks for people in England will increase.

The chair of its adaptation sub-committee, Lord Krebs, told BBC News: "The £270m announced by government is a one-off payment to repair damage - not to invest in the future.

"The Environment Agency shows unless that increased investment is sustained until the 2020s, the risk of flood damage will actually increase.

"If you don't maintain defences properly you will just stack up problems. ...

Unfortunately, anyone working on global warming needs funding. Whoever is doing the funding will have various motives for wanting a specific outcome. To continue being funded, some data may be 'fudged' as 'inconclusive' or even omitted

the whole point of the volunteer compute moment started here is that a graduate

student need not wait for many years and tenure to access large amounts of

computer power to test his or her ideas.

what better excuse for building that monster gaming rig?

now if i add the old cards to the new cards with two systems i can run 10.4 tflops

and the weather model will take about 25 pflops or 25,000,000 tflops

gosh i am going to need a much better gaming rig.

Something I've always wondered about, although small, what is the effect of various jets overflying the poles? (or even ordinary jet flights?)
even the cleanest engines are going to be depositing various chemical compounds directly into the stratosphere, the 'dirty' jet engines of the 50's~60's would obviously be much worse

The effects were pronounced in the 3 days after 9/11 when US air travel stopped.

Which is where we rely on peer review and scientific repeatability to expose if anything like that was being attempted.

So far, despite extremely harsh and intrusive investigations, some of which have very definitely been politically motivated, Climate Science remains clean and honest.

In stark contrast, there is incredible FUD and dishonesty being Marketed by various industrially sponsored mouthpieces...

Unfortunately, all the people doing the peer review are also being paid by the same source of funding, so there is no independent review.

Agreed. But the 'fudging' problem, if you have Many Models, starting from different motives/perspectives, may finally give some predictions that are correct.

Unfortunately, this is a fantasy. There are too many persons 'totally invested' in the present thinking. They cannot allow alternate Models/Theory's.
____________

while there may be some of that the final test of a weather model in not how well it is funded, or how pc it is, it is how well it predict's weather.
anyone who can program can read online how to set up a boinc project
and then solicit volunteers to run their project, little or no money required.
if the model predicts weather well it will get peer reviewed.

Ok a Little Extreamist but it is true

what don't add up 2.5ppm * 65 = 162.5 so 400+162.5=562.5ppm buy 2080 and that's not including a rise of 2-5% extra Co2 per year

That's simple math a 12yr old can understand

Something I watched a few weeks ago should alarm us all .

A Doco by ABC's Catalyst science show a special Called

a bit Exteramist but " Earth Burns"

It talks about how over the last decade or so the Bush and forest's of North America and Australia and how the frequency and strength of the fires which they now call MEGA fires are destroying the natural bush and forests .

Part of the reason more so in North America they stopped burning the bush and this has lead to 2 things happening

1 is there are more trees per hectare
2 when the Fires have come they are more fearce and kill the seeds as they also come more often and trees need about 20yrs to get to maturaty and start producing seedlings

The frequency of the fires has been put down to yep you guessed it GW CO2 as even after forests have been burnt fires still come through and can still be as strong burning what's left

In Australia it's a little different as we have never stoped burning the bush in winter to lesson the fires in summer and so have the first peoples.

However the fires are bigger and more intense and certain tree types in the Snowy Mountains called Snowy Mountain Gums are dieing as they are not as used to normal gum trees at being burnt as often and whole areas of the Snowy's the bush is dead huge freaking area's and in the places where gum trees are used to being burnt more often are also having trouble as it's even to often for them

They are trying to replant these areas with trees from greenhouses outside the Snowy's

This is a form of direct action and it won't work

It's also why we are in realy big shit if the bush dies boys , no CO2 to O2 factory's anymore

THE TREE'S

Yep, the trees are very important for multiple reasons.
