...Made me think, what about slipping the odd one made with chillies instead of the grape and strawberry into the bowl. I can just picture Great Aunt Maude's face as she tucks into her 43 "Sweet little Santa" fruit on a stick, and finds this one is not as sweet as she expected. Or is that just the naughty school boy in me escaping again? Jalapeño is not that hot. I like the taste of them. You could remove the seeds before you use them. There is however some really hot stuff. Habanero! They have a very nice taste but it's VERY hot. So be careful. Just some pieces of the fruits is enough. |

Jalapenos are very HOT... Try a small piece at first, it took time, but My Nephew eventually acquired a taste for them... I'm going to try chili peppers heated in cream and marinate strawberries with the sauce. What could possibly go wrong? To whom who doesnt like HOT flavours, do try dried green peppercorns instead. |

My Santoku knife will be flashing and flying through the air next week, as in football fashion I "tackle" Thanksgiving. Any other cooking enthusiasts having a house full of family this year? Whatcha cookin'? (Besides turkey, of course...) |

My Santoku knife will be flashing and flying through the air next week, as in football fashion I "tackle" Thanksgiving. That depends on what My youngest Niece and My Sister in law have cooked up, Me I got some Ektachrome/Kodachrome slides and a tree stand ready to go, now all they have to do is get the projector an screen out and instant entertainment... Albeit maybe 40 or more years old... Me I never cook on Thanksgiving, I just drive... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I don't do peppers. At all. A little black pepper on potatoes, eggs, and various other things. Beyond that, I don't like the heat OR the taste. This coming Thursday, well, I have a cheap pizza in the freezer. No better plans so far. I don't even feel like making some sort of frozen turkey stuff this year. Black pepper does not come from chili peppers of any sort. Peppercorns are the seeds of an entirely unrelated plant, which may be why you can tolerate them. |

There is however some really hot stuff. Bhut Jolokia:) In northeastern India, the peppers are smeared on fences or incorporated in smoke bombs as a safety precaution to keep wild elephants at a distance. I think I will pass that one:) Confirmed: Smokin Ed's Carolina Reaper sets new record for hottest chilli. Smokin Ed's Carolina Reaper delivers an average of 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2013/11/confirmed-smokin-eds-carolina-reaper-sets-new-record-for-hottest-chilli-53033/ They even look dangerous! |

My Santoku knife will be flashing and flying through the air next week, as in football fashion I "tackle" Thanksgiving. Just me and my mom, but I'm cooking a full turkey this year. She hasn't done one in several years. Fresh green beans, wild rice, and yes, this: The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

There is a easy and special trick to get that stuff out of the can easily. Yep, there is and I know it very well, though I've not cooked a turkey since 1998... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Just a guess, although I've never done it. Put an air hole in the bottom of the can, or just remove both the top and bottom??? Cranberries are just about about the easiest traditional Thanksgiving food to actually cook, so there is really no reason to purchase them in a can. They can be done well in advance. In fact, they are on my "to do" list for today! |
