The 2016 election campaigns are starting to gear up.

Who do you think should run for U.S. President, and who do you think would be a good V.P. running mate?

I'll refine the question to this: Who do you think will run, and who would be a good choice for VP?

How about Muttley for president & Dick Dastardly for VP?

They couldn't do any worse than those who entered the White House over the last 30 years.

In that case, it's about time you got that changed & for the better!

Prince Charles does not neither will he ever, run the country, that's the difference this side of the pond.

Absolutely. If it were up to me, I'd get rid of *all* democrats, all *old* republicans and replace them with younger folks. Younger folks who have not been indoctrinated into the "way" of the current government.

Starting fresh can be a good thing, especially when the old is so rotten, you can't even breathe any more because of the stench.

Would have given you a +1 there, but you left out one word in one place...

...Old.

From what we are led to believe on who might run I dont like any of them. I wish The 3 stooges were still alive. Moe as President. Larry as VP and Curly as Sec. of state. They would be better than any of the assclowns weve had in the last 20 years.

How about Boris Johnson, he was born in New York, so he's eligible.

I think you're onto something there, James. It all makes me wonder what would the founding fathers have to say?

The thought is so delightful. I'd pay quids to see that.

Actually anyone here in the TV production industry take note. There is the basic plot for an award winning comedy.

Thanks, but no thanks.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Perhaps you guys should concern yourself less with what long dead people would have wanted and more with what people right now want and need.

Yes, there are a lot of terrible people in American politics, but you people keep voting for them. Or more accurately, you people keep not showing up at the election booths so extremists who do show up get to have a disproportionate influence on who participates and wins the elections.

There you go again! Just what is your problem? The recent European elections, the same thing did not happen?

Just what is the European problem with the Yanks? They're no better or worse than your own.

So? Does that make my statement any less true? Does the fact that my fellow Europeans vote for horrible human beings and horrible politicians negate the fact that Americans do so too? Does that mean I cannot point out such a fact? No, it doesn't. It just means Americans can point out that Europeans vote for idiots as well. And they would be right and I would agree with them.

No it does not make it any the less true, but your posts over the past several months show nothing but distaste for anything American.

Dear old Maggie got it right - "Before one can request others to clean up their house, one must clean their own first"

You Europhiles hated her with a passion, I wonder why?

Jeebers, if he ever made president, they'd need an Air Force One & Two just to fly him out of the state let alone the country.
