Basically what I am finding is the 750Ti is half as powerful as a GTX 570 Superclocked while using 1/4 of the power! GTX 570 240watt TDP GTX 750Ti 60watt TDP GTX 570: Runtime 425.30 CPU time 105.32 GTX 750Ti: Runtime 901.23 CPU time 261.13 Just thought I would put it out there! I actually find the performance to be closer than that on my machines. All of mine are running two wu at a time for both MB and AP... It's a nice little card for sure... |

Hi GTP, the following are some of my cuda 50 times on my dual gtx 750 ti's. run/cpu: 1034/228 1648/290 905/207 824/209 1144/280 867/214 1600/280 911/218 Please be aware that I run 8 cores on a xeon w3565 with 2 gtx 750 ti cards, I do run 2 cuda tasks per gpu. This means I run 4 gpu tasks at a time - you might want to take that into account. Further, be aware that 8 cpu tasks are going at the same time. If you want to see more data just click on my name and follow link to my pc's. This unit is the only one with dual 750's. Regards Robert |

Robert, what is the "average" estimate time you see for your MBs that seti gives Zalster |

Hi Zalster, there seems to be 2 common types of mb tasks. The 1st has a gflop estimate of 70k gflops and the 2nd is 180k gflops. So I get 2.5hr or 6.7hr for a standard task and I get 10m or 26m for cuda 50. Interesting is the ap tasks all give an estimate 1.82mil gflop. This gives me a 42hr on a 6.01 task and 1hr 32m on a 6.04 cl_nvidia_100 task. Robert |

Thanks for the comments guys. Any quick links to getting the 750Ti crunching 2 2WU's at a time? All the best, Aaron Lephart www.smartcar451.com |

I haven't decided whether or not to do two at a time yet, but I *very* recently bought two of these cards. I'm trying that on the more capable of two computers. When I have enough results to know something, we'll know something. One is in an old and nearly crippled P4 machine and the other is in a machine with an FX-6300. I haven't "played" a lot yet, but the superclocked model I bought (requires the 6-pin PCIe power plug) does seem to be 25% or more faster than a GTX 550Ti, is much, much cooler, requires less power, and is "nearly silent" with the two fans and ACX cooling. The computers they are in limit what I can do. The card may be capable of running three work units at one time, but an ancient P4 isn't capable of effectively feeding it three AP tasks at once. This is the first card I've bought in a while that I'm impressed by. No, it will never outrun your GTX 780, and I doubt it will outrun my GTX 560Ti's. But, it looks like it may give a GTX 560 a run for its money while using a lot less power, producing a lot less heat, and being much, much, much quieter as a result. Again, we'll see. I'm not finished tweaking by any means. When I have a truly fair comparison I will post it. |

Any quick links to getting the 750Ti crunching 2 2WU's at a time? This is what I use on my four GTX750Tis (search for "Message 1523150"): http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=74386&postid=1523150 Runs 1 AP & 1 MB together, or 2 MB together on each card. [EDIT] And reserves the CPU cores needed to feed them all. |

Robert, Could you post or send in e-mail your app_config.xml, cudaxx.cfgs? I also have the same Xeon and am about to get a Gtx 750Ti. I am running stock Seti. The one complication is I am currently running a Radeon HD 5670 (which I stumbled over last night). The Radeon is munching things at about 42 minutes a crack right now. Thanks, Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |
