Not a stump grinder.

Not a jack.

Not made for use on roads. (Big hint.)

Thanks Wiggo, what did you change to make it work?

I just made it into an image link and removed the "s" from https (hitting the quote button on that post will show all). ;-)

Cheers.

Does it attach to the walkway that connects a jet to a terminal?

Not used with a jetway. But more likely to be used at an airport big enough to have a jetway. (Your next clue.)

Something to do with towing luggage carts?

It is towed (next clue), but nothing to do with luggage carts.

Okay, what else gets towed at an airport besides planes, luggage carts, and jetways?

As shown, is that third wheel on the ground or hanging in the air?

Starter cart?

Should have read all the replies before replying to David. It is indeed a runway friction measurement tool.

Chandorchasma has it! Winner! PM sent.

I think the new rules say you get to accept the win, or throw it up for grabs.

That new rule won't work...

Is it used in the kitchen?

Hmm, looks like a rendering rather than a physical item?
The hemisphere's look like they will interlock, is that a hinge in the middle?
Isn't used in kitchen so not a melon baller
headlight buckets and cross bar for a model T rat-rod?
