I am planning for a new i7/4770K build to replace my recently deceased machine and I am considering an upgrade to Win8.1. Originally I'll be using a GTX460SE GPU, but will upgrade to a GTX750Ti FTW in time. I've noticed that many setizens have already switched, so any and all opinions will be greatly appreciated.

1) Even though Win8 is being compared to Vista, is it really beneficial to upgrade to 8.1?

2) In a home network can you still share files between Win7 machines and 8.1 or will I have to go with 8.1 Pro?

3) Win9 or its equivalent is rumored to ready for review in q2 2015, should I wait?

4)What differences, if any, have been noticed when running Lunatics 4.1?

I run an i5. Before lunatics I was averaging about 17 Thousand a day. After Lunatics it's gone up to an average 25 thousand a day after I tweaked it a bit. I run a GTX 750 Ti. Can't answer any of your other questions, sorry.
