David--you will hear and see "echoes" of her.

We still hear Isabella's distinct snore after 3 years and I can smell her clean fur scent at times so so clearly. They will hurt at first but then they will become more reassuring to you over time.

Kitties have Echoes....

That resound long after their physical presence has left us, and haunt us forevermore.

Not in a bad way.
Squirrel is still with me some days..............I visit her in the back yard rather often. Call that odd? I don't think so.
She spent as many hours here with me as some of you did.
I can still look to my left and see here sitting there with me.
I can still hear her meow to me.
I can. I do.

Yes, kitties have echoes. David is hearing Baby's just now. I have 3 that are preparing me for the call. It is going to be something supercatual when they depart from me. I may have to follow them.................so to speak.

There is a reason I just planted some catnip in the back yard.
A spiritual place for kitties to be.
TiggerII is as we speak, sitting next to me.
She has tried to take Squirrel's place of comfort since she left me.
Tigger just sits and stares at me for hours at a time.
I give her those soft little cat squints that cats do when they trust and love you.......................
Cat things that I share with those I love.

Kitty echoes.
I hear them all the time, my friends.
I hear them all the time.

Here comes one now............meow.
meow
meow
meow
meow
meow
meow
meow.

Baby is still with you, David.
Just on a different plane now. She has left all her pain behind and now can devote all of her love to you, you see.
Got it? Kittyeh love coming in...................meow//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Wow...even I felt that one.
I think David hears him too.

Good one, Baby.

I knew something was wrong with Baby 2-3 weeks ago when I brought in a catnip leaf I plucked out in front of the house, and he wasn't interested in it. He used to gobble them right up.

I remember the image of him lying there in the carrier and on the vet's exam table, just lying there, eyes watering a bit, and I feel like he was blaming me for his suffering.

Like I said, not a lot of affection between us.

Anyone want a catnip plant?

Interesting enough, I planted some catnip seeds last week in the back yard not to far away from Squirrel's resting place.
I am hoping they sprout and give her something to sniff at.

David....I am a kittyman. You are hurting and I know it,.
The pawprint thingy. Don't pretend to ME that you are not.

I know you miss Baby, and find it hard to admit it.
Cats take our hearts as their own, and give so much in return.
Till this day, I miss Squirrel. It's been a long time now. I walk back to the end of my lot once in a while to visit her and talk to her.
Yes, I still talk to my dearly departed kitty.
As I do, I remember her very fondly and pictures of her go through my mind.
She spent many hours right here by my side as I posted to you for many years.

Her eyes as big as the moon, her heart as big as the sun.
That was my Squirrel kitty.
And she shall forever be so.

Meow.

Been through that too, not fun at all. Had a dog I grew up with that was my best friend to me but she got hit by a snow plow and had to put her down.

I had a kitty, Squirrel.
She sat my my side each and every moment for years.
What that meant to me when she had to leave is perhaps unfathomable to some of you.
I still, years later, miss her and glance over at the spot she always took.
I shall maybe never get over her loss.
I really don't think I shall.

Pain has a funny way of reminding you that you are indeed mortal.
I am increasingly being reminded. My time is getting near.

And the words I impart to you over the next few days might be of importance to you at some point in time.

The kitties shall be cared for. This has been arranged.
They shall want for nothing,k. Other than myself.

They have been the most important thing in my life, and shall be taken care of as such.

No worries for the kittehs, my freinds. Their care has been arranged.

I had Dog checked today by the vet and I was right, he is going blind :( Darn I love that dog so much. But at a dogs age of 105 he is holding up okay right now. I'm holding out to the very last minute, he is happy right now. When you have something for so long it's hard to let go.

Last pet ever for me, I can't do another one like this.

Dog got must have been chocking on something tonight, he was flat on his back just about passing out, we grabed him and shook him a bit and what ever that was bothering him come up. Man I thought he was buying the farm but he seems okay now. At 15 one can expect almost anything. :(

Mark, don't try to tell me what I feel. You are not me. If our roles were reversed, you would say that to me, and probably a lot more vehemently.

Six cats have lived in this house in the time I have. Baby is the one I will miss the least. Nero passed over 14 years ago and I still miss him more than Baby.

And then I got this bit of annoyance in the mail last week. It's a sympathy card from the animal hospital. It's signed by 13 of their staff. Okay, that's nice of them. Except that Baby and I only met 2 of them, and 3 wrote messages telling me he was a sweet boy that they will always remember in their hearts.

Sorry, David.
I should not have supposed to know what your feelings are.
I guess I was trying to project my own thoughts and feelings about all kitties onto yourself, and that was presumptuous on my part.

Well Dog went to the Vet and got a shave to the skin, he is such a pain since he hates to be touched by anyone he doesn't know. I guess he had and an infection so they took care os that also.

with it being warm he should be okay. (if you see type "O",s) Just me

That is sad news Grant. As hard as it may be, letting him go might be the kindest thing. Give it a few days.

Sorry to hear that, Grant.
I know it's hard. Went through that with my Squirrel kitty. At some point I realized that she was not able to any longer have any 'quality of life', and had to do the kind thing to end her suffering. Because she was not able to be happy anymore, and was suffering even when I held her close.

It was very hard for me to make that decision, but it was the kindest thing I could do for her after all the years of love and devotion that she gave to me.

Only you can make that decision. And you will know when it is time.

God bless.
