Yes Grant and in a good way. The bonding is going well. They have been raised in crates, which I don't like. Compromise is the way to go. Midnight's crate is available to them and they use it, with the door open.
I hope in time they will grow out of it.
Cookie's crate will be used for Vet visits.

Well Dog has the run of the house but in a good way most of the time, it's not my dog but my GF and I share. here is hard to have a pet which makes me a bit mad but oh well rules are rules. really I could force them to let me have one since I'm over 65 (a long time ago.) and as the law reads I can. I wouldn't want a big one something like a small poodle.

But with my health if my GF was out of town would be a problem/
Cheers everybody

Thx Uli.

GREAT news. Abby's bloodwork/kidney panel was perfectly fine-no abnormalities!!!

HUGE relief for us

Good to hear that Blurf :)

Awwwwww... Uli! :) Cookie and Midnight :) Good to hear they're settling in. I'm sure the crates will become a thing of the past eventually :)

Hi Grant :)
... he has problems climbing stairs.

Me too! :) Can't imagine what I'd be like if I had to organise four legs whilst doing so :) What's Dog's approach to going down them? Our dog Rocky was bone lazy and would just slide down on his belly. Going up tended to be catastrophic because he had long dangly ears and would step on them. Always reminded me of the albatross in the Disney film, The Rescuers, for some reason :)

Great new Blurf.

This morning Cookie for first the time, came to me to be petted. They have been outside today for a couple of hours now and no sign of wanting to come inside.
They are chasing each other around the yard.

She loves me now. As to Cookietaster's friend's. She will bark at them until they except her at her terms.

That is the only way with an animal. Show them love and respect and you get it back a thousand times.

Bought some pig ears to our dog today.
On the package it was written "Friends for Life".
Nice. But when coming home i noticed what it really cost for 2 ears weighing 70 grams.
Quick calculation gaved me 35 Euros per kilogram!
You get 5 kg ground beef for the same prize.

But Tosca loves them:)

I think the Kitties are ajusting to the dogs and Homeless the new Kitty is adjusting too.
Three counter with three cats. Lots of disinfectants in use, which I am not to happy about. But as long as they will learn to get along, I will do the cleaning with the bleach stuff.

Uli watch bleach stuff around cat pee, it will make a gas. I found out myself when I was a building manager. These cats would pee in a fire excape hallway so I got some to clean it up and I had a cloud of gas. It was clorox I was using.

Nitrogen reacts in urine with chlorine in water and trichloramine is formed. The gas is toxic and can cause irritation to the eyes and the respiratory system. Asthma can also develop. DN has previously reported on the relationship between swimming pools and asthma.

all I can tell you that it was hell for a while.

I was working one time at a country club and I bought the wrong stuff gased the hell out of myself, gasping for air I called my father who worked around it all the time for 45 years. ammonia is the nutro for it, so I took a wiff of it and sure enough my lungs cleared up. we went to bottled after that.

Thanks for the info. I papertowl it up first, then follow it up with 409. No problems so far, as I am only dealing with some residuals.

The doggies have adjusted, but the kitties are still a hold over.

This stuborn Human will win the battle in the end.
