Results of Abby's tests came in....she has a Kidney Infection. She's now on 3 weeks of Clavamoxx. If it doesn't resolve, she'll be x-rsyed for a possible kidney stone

Kidney stones aren't verified. She is in no visible pain.

Knew a woman once that had them and I thought she was going to rip the bed apart with so much pain. That's why I said that.

Don't want to derail the thread but my wife had them-we know the pain all too well.

Well it just keeps piling on.

When Suz got home, Abby had absolutely no interest in food. Didn't even stand next to her while she prepared the bowls (VERY unusual). Also wouldn't Suz touch her.

Emergency vet says she must've fallen and hurt her back. She's on pain meds and we have to keep her off the furniture (oh that's going to be fun!)

Good luck with that! After our cat had to have part of her leg amputated due to cancer she was a nightmare - talk about a gazelle on steroids :/

Do hope she recovers quickly Blurf! :)

She slept like a rock last night. I opened her Xpen, pottied her and she voluntarily went right back into the Xpen. She's being VERY good.

Right... that's it... fed up of my kitchen turning into a paddling pool...

I wish :) No respecters of water my lot :/

I thought I'd solved the problem of my demented felines' knocking over their water bowls (to paddle and play and slip and run in the resulting MESS) by switching to a MASSIVE, deep, heavy, allegedly untippable bowl that an ELEPHANT keeper would be proud of!!!

Short of dropping lead in it (obviously a no-no) or cementing it to the floor... would a couple of bricks dropped in it do, do you think, or are they likely to leach something nasty into the water...?

Oh crap.

I just got home. Baby escaped. Before I could get him, he ate some grass. When he puked it up a few minutes later, the liquid was bright pink. Hot pink. I figure either an ulcer or stomach cancer.

That doesn't sound good, David. Is there a 24 hour vet near you?

Oh no, that indeed doesn't sound good.

@ David, I hope Baby will be ok, I have too much going thru My mind right now to comment any further here in this thread on this subject.

Thanks Lynn, I wanted to say that, but there is something bothering Me on another subject that is bothering Me, that may amount to nothing, I'll know more on Monday, maybe or Tuesday for sure, but right now I'd rather not say more.
