I updated to the latest SETI and now all of my work downloads fail. Anybody have an idea as to what is going on with my machine or SETI? Thanks - Tamarin Tracker |

What Claggy is saying is if you unhide your computers, folks might be able to take a look and find out what could be going wrong. Although it they are actual download failures, they might be hard to analyze from this end. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

For the Stock CPU app you had: <core_client_version>7.2.42</core_client_version> For the Cuda22 app you had: <core_client_version>7.2.42</core_client_version> For the Cuda23 app you had: <core_client_version>7.2.42</core_client_version> For the Cuda32 app you had: <core_client_version>7.2.42</core_client_version> For the Cuda42 app you had: <core_client_version>7.2.42</core_client_version> For the Cuda50 app you had: <core_client_version>7.2.42</core_client_version> Claggy |

A slightly longer but probably still incomplete list of files which it tried to download without success: AstroPulse_Kernels_r1316.cl ap_601.jpg ap_cmdline_6.04_windows_intelx86__opencl_nvidia.txt ap_graphics_6.01_windows_intelx86.exe astropulse_6.01_AUTHORS astropulse_6.01_COPYING astropulse_6.01_COPYRIGHT astropulse_6.01_windows_intelx86.exe astropulse_6.04_opencl_nvidia_AUTHORS astropulse_6.04_opencl_nvidia_COPYING astropulse_6.04_opencl_nvidia_COPYRIGHT astropulse_6.04_windows_intelx86__opencl_nvidia_100.exe cudart22_00_00x.dll cudart23_00_00x.dll cudart32_32_16.dll cudart32_42_9.dll cudart32_50_35.dll cufft22_00_00x.dll libfftw3f-3-3_upx.dll mbcuda-7.00-cuda22.cfg mbcuda-7.00-cuda22.cfg.sample mbcuda-7.00-cuda23.cfg.sample mbcuda-7.00-cuda50.cfg mbcuda-7.00-cuda50.cfg.sample seti_700.jpg setiathome-7.00-cuda22_AUTHORS.txt setiathome-7.00-cuda22_COPYING.txt setiathome-7.00-cuda22_COPYRIGHT.txt setiathome-7.00-cuda22_README.txt setiathome-7.00-cuda22_README_x41zc.txt setiathome-7.00-cuda50_AUTHORS.txt setiathome-7.00-cuda50_COPYING.txt setiathome-7.00_AUTHORS.txt setiathome-7.00_COPYING.txt setiathome-7.00_COPYRIGHT.txt setiathome-7.00_README.txt setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86.exe setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86__cuda22.exe setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86__cuda23.exe setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86__cuda32.exe setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86__cuda42.exe setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86__cuda50.exe setigraphics_7.00_windows_intelx86.exe As the host was working correctly with BOINC 7.2.39, it's hard to guess what has gone wrong. I agree with Claggy that a project reset is worth trying, but if it doesn't help then perhaps a repair install of BOINC 7.2.42 should be the next thing to try. Under normal circumstances the update of BOINC versions should not have removed all those files. Joe |

I uninstalled and reinstalled Boinc and SETI and the downloads continue to fail, no problem with other projects. As I was getting ready to post again, the god of SETI smiled and downloaded some work which is now running. Thanks everybody for all of the suggestions. |

A while back I was getting slow downloads on one computer, the other was OK- they both use the same modem. Rebooted the offending PC- no better. Rebooted the modem- all better. *shrug* Grant Darwin NT |
