Whole wheat fig newtons...

Tried those, didn't like 'em.

'grats to Scott and Zappy.

Scott, if you want to keep the sugar down, cut back on the jelly babies. I'll just have one; they also get stuck in my teeth.

Z, the last time my washer quit on me, I decided it was old and needed to be replaced anyway. So I went out and bought a new one without even looking at the old one to see if I could fix it. When we were taking it up the stairs, I finally saw underneath. It was just a broken belt that I very easily could have fixed myself. Grrr.....

I could have been in the running for the last thread, but my daily driver laptop decided to go bad on me yesterday. I woke it up and the screen didn't come on. Looking closely, I could see that it was indeed active, just no back light. I tried to put it to sleep by pressing the power button and nothing happened, but I found I could do so by hitting the Windows key and then Enter. When it's sleeping, it wakes up with a press of any key. But then I got stupid. I thought maybe if it went to hibernate, that would reset whatever was wrong with the screen light. So I pulled the power cord out and did the Windows - Enter... forgetting that when it's in hibernate, I have to press the power button to wake it up, and the power button wasn't working!

Then I got sleepy and went to bed early, and didn't check in with the message boards all evening, so I didn't win. I suppose I'll have to fiddle with it tomorrow when I don't have to work.

Ping!

Ping!

Lets see when I was able to buy a new clothes washer(I'm not able to currently since I need to repair/replace multiple items on a fixed income) since they cost about $600.00 new, so spending roughly $21.00 on parts and having the park install them would be good enough(though June would be as soon as that could be done, along with another $37 for something else that I also need to get done), My washer is not old enough to be a belt drive model, Mine is a direct drive model since I bought it around 1985 and it has a 7cuft capacity. Below are the details of My washing machine.

Whirlpool Clothes Washer model number LXR7244PQ0
pump part number AP2907492 or PS342434
worm drive hose clamps 1.25" and 1.75"(1ea)

As to the Whole Wheat Fig Newtons, I've never been able to find those, the last time I saw those and had some was at My Grandpas house in Culver City CA, I liked those cookies, are they better for you than the regular ones? I have no idea, but My Grandpa was into health food, before that was even popular, He also made My Dad do calisthenics before breakfast too, as if He were in the Army.

I'm not trying to argue with you David, I'm just presenting the facts as I know them.

If ZS says that you may have some of his cookie stash, go for it... When you get here, we'll go to the best Indian restaurant in the area. ("Favorite Indian Restaurant".) :-)
