I particularly like the way it looks as if Chris is bowing to me. You mean he isn't!!!! Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I love this thread!!! I will have to dig though old photos and get permission to post things, but I think this thread will be so much fun!!! Hi Julie, all is well with me :) to stay on topic of this thread I'll try to dig up some Photos of me to post :) found one me in 1960 ..... OMG ... 54 years ago .. now I'm bald, fat, wrinkled and ugly :) me :) ........ my High School Graduation Photo in 1960 :) me :) ........ my High School Graduation Photo in 1960 :) found one me in 1960 ..... OMG ... 54 years ago .. now I'm bald, fat, wrinkled and ugly :) Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. |

Some of you may know that Steve (SciManStev) on these boards, keeps snakes. When I was visiting NY in 2012 visited him For those of a nervous disposition or who don't like snakes I would skip this next pic I actually found out that day that I don't mind shakes, of course my one was a bit smaller. Last year when I visited we went up the Mount Cannon tramway where at the top you can by beer from "The Highest Tap in New Hampshire" While there I was experimenting with my new camera to try taking a pic with us both in, of course nothing happend for a while then when the shutter fired we were both looking a bit puzzled!! |

All this makes me sorry that no one that I personally know participates in the Seti@home project. At least none have told me they do. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

All this makes me sorry that no one that I personally know participates in the Seti@home project. At least none have told me they do. Bob, the 20 or so people I've met in person from this project, I have met BECAUSE they crunch seti. None of them were people I knew before I joined the project. I have had the pleasure of making and meeting seti friends from all over the world and it has been an absolute thrill! I plan to meet more in the future. |

This is a couple years old. Well never mind. Couldn't get the photos from FB to work. I used to be a cruncher like you, then I took an arrow to the knee. |

This is a couple years old. And you'll need to post the pics to photobucket or flickr, FB is HTTPS and you'll never be able to post from there to here, I've tried to do that, that doesn't work cause it's a secure site. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

This is a couple years old. To post a picture from FB just remove the "s" from "https" as that's how I post my pic's here. ;-) Cheers. |

OK, here's a very rare photo indeed - take good care of it. That's me meeting Miep some years ago in Berlin. I'm the one with the beard... |
